"The taste was nowhere near as good as the kumadon in chatswood. The wagyu oxtongue was very chewy and didn't taste fresh. The other wagyu beef was ok. Operated by chinese not japanese. Moved into the lane way instead of being outside. A bit cramped but there's a few tables."
"Kumadon's Burwood store has moved into the alleyway of Burwood Chinatown (as opposed to on the outskirts towards the inner corner). It took a while to find but the new location has a cute indoor seating area. The food was so filling. Each bowl comes with the meat topping and a soft boiled egg that is still in its shell just waiting for you to crack into your meal. I thought the meat itself was seasoned and juicy enough on its own, but it works so well with the soft boiled egg which makes the rice much creamier and juicier!"
"Had the classic beef don for lunch and it’s served quick. The beef is a tad bit too salty to my liking. Overall it’s average considering the quality."
"Perfect for wagyu lovers!! The meats are chargrilled rendering them a beautifully smoky flavour. The bowls are also loaded with various toppings and very generous in terms of size. I would highly recommend the beef tongue don as the tongue is juicy and fatty!"
"The restaurant was hard to find but the food was alright We had the spare rib and Angus beef dons. Both were tasty. I tried a little of the spare rib out of my partner's bowl and it was very chewy but otherwise tasty. Atmosphere was average as it looks out onto the back streets which could have been decorated better."
