"Heritage House Baulkham Hills offers a lovely space for little ones to play and learn. Compared to other daycares in the area (which I found quite dull, dim and dated in tours), this centre is light-filled, new, and has a nice north-west facing outdoor play area. I'm thankful to all the educators at Heritage House for their care, patience and understanding towards my child, who can take time to open up to new people. A special thanks to Candice for making my family feel comfortable."
"The Educators are respectful, communicative and responsive to the needs of the child (and parents), whether your child is confident in a group or whether they need more 1:1 attention. Communication to the parents/caregivers is specifically tailored to your own child’s day and their development. (I know, I’ve been there). The Educators, Directors and Head Office are kind-hearted,friendly and honest (not only at Baulkham Hills but at other Heritage House Centres). The Child Care program is exciting for your child. It is enriching for each child. The children are encouraged (and helped) to make decisions, co-operate and to follow rules (e.g. encouraged to take turns, etc). Heritage House not only gives opportunities to children but also to staff. The children are adored and Miss Casey is a lovely lady. This is the best Child Care Centre in the area."
"I think it is important to know that this centre was pressing parents for reviews which is why they have so many despite being fairly new. When you tried to drop your children off, they would thrust a QR code in your hands or ask you to get your phone so you could add a review why you wait for your child to be taken upstairs. Because the reviews are public, and you are trusting your infant with them, it is extremely difficult to be honest or say no. My son attended for 5 days for about 13 hours in total. We paid $2295.15 for this “privilege”. My child was crying or tearful in every photo they posted. Every time I called, children were absolutely howling in the background. Some of the things that gave me an all round negative vibe despite my son being so sad in the five days included: the educator not understanding English sufficiently to answer simple questions (did he eat, has he had an accident) and needing to get another educator to come downstairs to answer, being told he couldn’t use his own sunscreen without a doctors cert (he had a massive inflamed rash all over his face, his current preschool thought this was insane when I mentioned it and just told me to bring in a labelled sunscreen to use). The wrong child’s name being written in the centre of a backpack, like right on the front. Even if the name had been correct, why would you place it in pen, crooked, on the front when it was already written on inside and on the back of the backpack? They also couldn’t provide details of their philosophy or their routine. I won’t say the preschool is terrible. It is probably only average or below average. But there are so many truly outstanding preschools in this area, why chose this one? The real horror story with these people is their accounts department. My son had a really bad time of it, and was also diagnosed with a really rare and serious immune condition which required us to cancel our enrolment. I explained that I was happy to forgo the return of the bond in lieu of notice. That was not enough for these people. They hounded me for 5 months threatening to ruin our credit and get a debt collector involved as they wanted another 2k. For 5 days and 13hours in total of care! Finally I had to open a Fair Trade case to get them to agree to settle the account. This was despite knowing I had originally sought care as an additional support while going through an assault case in the courts. This centre was so money hungry they threatened and hounded a victim going through one of the worst experiences a person can go through. I would find one of the many “exceeding” daycare/ preschools in the area and give this one a miss if I was you."
"My toddler and preschooler have been attending HH Baulkham Hills since Dec 2021 and it has bee a great experience so far. The room leaders are wonderful communicators and feel like part of our team in caring for our children and working towards common goals. The room leaders are informative, responsible and friendly and instil confidence that our children are in good hands. A special shout out to Candice, the Centre Manager, who is so caring, welcoming and professional, and I am sure all of the children and parents adore her as much as we do. We also love the regular updates and photos throughout the day so we can talk with our children at the end of the day about the different things they did that day."
"I am so pleased that I found this day care facility for my little one! The teachers are compassionate, patient and very understanding. Miss Monique in the preschool room is just so sweet and lovely! My son comes home singing and dancing, and I am so delighted that he has learnt how to draw, write his name and identify sounds of letters since being here. Miss Candice, the centre director, is extremely friendly, professional and genuinely shows that she cares for each of the children in her care. They are both so gentle and kind! I feel so safe leaving my son here everyday, knowing that he is receiving the attention and education that he needs to start school next year. Thank you, Heritage House for all that you do for my son!"
