"This is a really nice city park. Although it is close to a busy road the noise soon disappears and the peace settles in. I must confess at this pint that I run a small canoe and kayak hire business here. But this review is really an explanation of why I chose this place. There are lots of shelters and even more big shady trees. Although it can get busy it never seems crowded. And there is still lots of big and small sunny grassy spots. Although it is quite small, the size of a couple of soccer fields, its paths connect it all along the river for riding or walking. The BBQs, there are four are free and always clean. And there is usually very little rubbish. There are toilets, they are old but again usually clean (for public toilets). There is plenty of parking, and easy access from both Tempe and Wolli Creek train stations. (Tempe is the closer of the two). 5-10 min walk. And there is a beautiful river. For walking or cycling (or paddling). Though the water is cool on your feet, or for a dog, you wouldn’t want to swim. Lots of people catch and release fish, flathead and tailor amongst them. Again I wouldn’t eat the fish. Across the river at Wolli Creek there are plenty of cafes and eateries as well. (5-10 min walk)"
"This small park is perfect for day out. i have started exploring from Tempe Station and end at Princess highway near Wolli Creek. This park has play ground for kids too, you can see the beautiful view of small Jungle, river, birds and the sunset as well. I have seen people rowing boat as well."
"Beautiful park with nice views and sitting area. Just adding some random pics from around the area."
"Nestled in nature, this quiet little park makes for a perfect day out. This park has a playground, BBQs, and undercover seating, bike racks and a open area for running around. There are plenty of birds including, cormorants, butcher birds and rainbow lorikeets to enjoy. It is a short walk from Tempe train station and joins onto the Cook's River bike/walking track. It's also within walking distance to Cahill Park where the kids can explore different playground equipment."
"Kendrick Park is a nice little park. Some groups of families often come here for BBQs or some parties because of the BBQs in the park. There's also an area for some games like soccer. Cooks River looks nice here because of the new apartment buildings on the other side of the river. There's also lots of Ibis birds here so be careful of your food!"
