Reviews
"Arncliffe Park boasts a top-notch synthetic field, making it ideal for various sports and recreational activities year-round. The memorial adds a touch of history and reverence, reminding visitors of the legacy and sacrifices of past generations. While the park offers these commendable features, a few additional amenities or enhancements could make it even more outstanding. Nevertheless, it remains a prominent spot for both sports enthusiasts and those looking to reflect and remember."
"Great playground and footpaths for kids to ride their bikes. Plenty of trees and grass for kids to run around on also."
"This park (focusing on the play area) has some great features for kids of various ages. A personal favourite is the wobbly climbing wall/hill and suspension bridge zone. Other favourites are the four person seesaw and the saucer swing. For people with very young children, the saucer swing or the baby swing are well designed for first park visit experiences. The slide is also suitable if you guide them down so they don't shoot off the end. Level of guidance according to you and your baby's level of comfort, of course. Just be careful as people can tend to have off leash fogs when they probably shouldn't here in the park, a hazard for babies on the grass sometimes. There is a cute little obstacle course as well. Good for toddlers and up. Bonus: ibis, pigeons, magpies, kurrawongs (right?) etc. all fun to watch around here. Proximity to bathrooms, sports fields for organised sport, and Espresso Haus Café/Burger World and other nearby shops makes this a convenient spot to stop by with kids. Room for improvement: -->There could be more play features integrated throughout the large lawn space in the park. E.g., play statues, jungle gym/monkey bars, native plant sensory garden, log based climbing frames. A larger area could be devoted to creative play options. --> This park would benefit from some adult exercise equipment (pull-up bars, bouldering area? --> Would there be space for a community notice board and larger birthday party shelter near the playground? --> I strongly recommend linking the areas of the park (i.e., entrances, sports area, toilet block, playground) more comprehensively with expedient accessible pathways. As it stands, the lines of desire do not correspond with the dedicated paved and pram friendly paths. Bumbling cross country in a pram isn't nearly as bad as being stuck going all the way around bomp over roots and mulch and broken pavement to get to the bathroom as a wheelchair user."
"Good parking nearby / along the road (but it gets snapped up over the weekend due to ongoing sports games) and heaps of facilities. This park has a large open area for walking, with some public seating and picnic tables. There is a big astroturf field that is occupied by kids soccer on the weekend. There is also a large playground with unique equipment, and modern toilet and change facilities, also with a water bubbler if you need."
"Decent size park. Good for soccer or a picnic Large trees make it a good spot for photos"
