In 1998, Bella Vista Farm was transferred into the ownership of The Hills Shire Council, who have since adopted a Conservation Management Plan for the site. This plan aims to ensure the restoration and long-term conservation of the property, while also providing a unique venue for a range of complementary uses. As a result, Bella Vista Farm has become a cherished destination for both locals and visitors, offering a glimpse into the rich history of the region.

The surrounding grounds of Bella Vista Farm are open to the public and offer a variety of amenities for visitors to enjoy. From a well-equipped playground and BBQ facilities to picnic tables, walking tracks, and dog-friendly areas (dogs must be kept on a leash), there is something for everyone to appreciate. The entrance to the farm is conveniently located on Elizabeth Macarthur Drive, just off Norwest Blvd, and ample car parking is available on the outer grounds.

One of the highlights of Bella Vista Farm is the regular open days hosted by the Friends of Bella Vista Farm. Taking place on the first Sunday of each month, these open days provide full access to the farm and the opportunity to interact with knowledgeable volunteers who are passionate about the farm's history.
