"Insanely overpriced for what they sell. Kathmandu does have sales where they discount some of their stock, but their full prices are insanely expensive, especially when you consider that they predominantly sell their own products - you're not buying premium brands like The North Face or the like. Some coats I saw had full prices of $650. It's insane that you could buy a solid second hand car for the same as 10 Kathmandu jackets at full price. I remember when Kathmandu was a reasonable priced store, offering equipment which did the job but you didn't have to take out a loan to buy, and if you broke/tore/lost something in the bush you wouldn't be too devastated. It seems those days have long passed."
