"A hidden Chinese restaurant at burwood that I wasn’t aware of after staying nearby for so long. Not until XHS introducing them as one of the best and most authentic Chinese restaurant. Environment 4/5 Is not obvious facing the main road but hidden at one of the smaller road. The shop is quite tiny with not more than 20 seats. Service 5/5 With such a small shop, you will expect the service to be soso most of the time, but this restaurant has given a perfect service and fast cooking as well! Food 5/5 I would give them a 5, I couldn’t name them so gotta do a consolidate one, we tried 4 dishes they are all amazing. Will definitely recommend the gluten flour and fried dumpling."
"Tasty Xi'an cuisine. Small family business and when I hear owner speaks in Shannxi dialect I know it can’t go wrong. Very authentic. Good price."
"The super crispy dumplings at Chengs Xian are a must try. Lamb soup is really nice. The restaurant is very casual, but the food is outstanding. The service was fast and friendly, and everything was delicious. I highly recommend this place!"
"Best Xi‘An food in Sydney!! The pan fried dumplings and home-style pork spinach noodles are my favorites! will definitely visit again"
"We tried this small Xi-an eatery in Burwood suburb recently for a quick, weekend lunch. We ordered their famous pan-fried pork dumpings, lamb soup (yang rou pou mo) and oil-spilled noodle (you po mian). All dishes were nice, authentic Xi-an staple foods and we enjoyed our lunch. All dishes taste good and represent good value for money for their generous portion size. We love the hot lamb soup especially for cold winter days and it came with special chilly sauce and pickled garlic. The noodle dish was well-seasoned and with no meat so good choice for vegetarian people. The place is small so don't expect much ambience. The customer service could be patchy if you don't speak Chinese Mandarin, but at least the owner/staff members tried to communicate with their broken English. The food service is quite efficient and you don't have to wait too long for your food order. I paid by cash since I didn't see any sign of them accepting card payment option, but I didn't really mind since the food costs were not expensive."
