"During the second lockdown in Melbourne, we discovered the fish biryani at the Chef's Palace. It soon became a favourite during the 111 days of lockdown because the biryani travelled well, it is delicious and a bargain at around $13. We also tried the masala dosa during lockdown - wrapped in aluminum foil, but sadly, it did not retained its crispiness. but it hinted of potential and the masala filling was nicely spiced. Post lockdown, we sat down in the restaurant to have the masala dosa. It did not disappoint - the batter is light and crispy and the filling was well spiced - not bland at all, with added heat, if wanted, from the 3x accompaniments. We also tried the Punjabi butter chicken - as explained to us, the Punjabi butter chicken is different because it is cooked with tandoori chicken, it has more spices and the chicken is not debone. I like it - as it is not too sweet and the flavour of tandoor is evident. Definitely worth a revisit - to try the other dishes on the menu."
"I like the veg dishes here.. taste of veg biryani is really good.. it has the aroma of biryani..the veg noodles is street style indian chinese..the paneer kadai was good as well..try it recommended.. plain dosa is good as well with proper sambar and chutney.."
