"Food could be 5 stars if only they have consistency, some super yummy, some very old and taste plus smell like reheating old food. Service is terrible due to the fact that they organize your table and chair for you to sit, but the old woman who pushes the cart will telling you off for blocking her like we decided to sit there by ourselves. Whatever you asking, you gotta have to ask again and again because no one willing to write down and pass it to the station that supposed to prepare those items. They will listen, says ok, go do something else and totally forgot. What’s the point of putting million dollar to decorations but put these nonfunctional staff at service? Overall: Go for the food only if you feeling lucky that day. You will disappointed with the service even tho you went there expecting no service. Also, they are not reasonable or cheap prices."
"There are many good yum cha places in Melbourne but Gold Leaf Docklands has earned their spot as one of the best places to go for. The venue is large with great atmosphere. Food is still wheeled around in a cart for the authentic experience. And most of all, they tastes good."
"This was, by far, the best Chinese dining experience we have ever had in Melbourne! 5 star service, warm and delicious food cooked perfectly and served warm and fresh! We were welcomed with warm jasmine tea and prawn crackers as we were browsing through the expansive menu. Traditionally presented meals presented were brought out per course (and with very little delay, despite having dinner on a busy Easter Sunday evening). The scrumptious dim sims (three different versions) were in wooden steamers and the money bag in all its soupy mushroom glory was on a plate all on its own. The soup was hot and filling and was big enough to share for two. The fried rice was full of Chinese sausage, egg, and spring onions! The sweet and sour pork however, was definitely the highlight. Crunchy on the outside, full of soft meat on the inside. We have been around Southeast Asia, and this has been the BEST one we've ever had! Thank you to Ivan and the team for having us! We will definitely be back again!"
"Moderately priced yum cha with good service. Classic busy and noisy and full of Asians. A bit tough to get in on weekends so u should make reservation. Easy with their app. Better service than usual, try their Shark Finn dumplings.. wonderful.. better than normal. I had to eat 3 servings. Couldn't stop."
