"Newington Armory is part of the heritage-listed Newington Armament Depot and Nature Reserve. I always enjoyed visiting this old ammunition storage depot because it's filled with buildings that were once used as workers' buildings and bunkers for ammunition storage. The old gatehouse is just exquisite and the old wharf area has the majestic Parramatta River as a perfect setting. My favourite places to visit are the Murama Dance Ground, Murama Healing Place, the Armory Wharf Café, Adventure Playground, and the River Marker of Blaxland Riverside Park. There's so much to appreciate here and I recommend taking the River Walk Promenade from Louise Savage Pathway and soaking up the ambience."
