"Situated across from the hk street food rest. I recommend the prawn paste with fish roe and fried tofu sheet (both home made) Reasonably priced hot pot joint dipping sauces was $2 each, the double flavour hotpot’s $15. BYO $2 pp and no cake surcharge"
"Perfect spot for a group of 4. The long table for 8 was a little awkward. The soup base was yummy and there was a good selection of meat & veggie dishes but lack of seafood. We definitely over-ordered! Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I both got food poisoning but most of the group were okay."
"The staff are extremely fast and good in service. We ordered 2-sides fish hotpot. The broth are amazing. The crispy rice sticks with brown sugar syrup are super delicious. Highly recommended. Just 1 disappointing point is pork belly slices which made me a bit sick later. With the amount of food we ordered, the price is reasonable. Overall, it's a good experience. Definitely will come back again"
"It was a positive experience, soup base is on point and a few of the other hot pot dish is quite yum. My favourite was the fried pork, the dumplings and the hand cut beef. Although nothing spectacular, its not bad."
"Had high expectations as I'm a huge fan of Spicy Joint (in Burwood, CBD & Chatswood) but was slightly disappointed after trying here. Menu retains some of SJ's dishes (such as their cold dishes & snacks) but mainly offers a hotpot experience. We got the double flavour soup base in spicy & bone broth. Really didn't like how they don't allow you to make your own sauces - they only have 5 pre-made dipping sauces to choose from. We got the 'secret sauce' because of the sesame sauce but there was too much chill oil and not enough garlic. Quality of ingredients is a great though, not top tier but pretty good quality for the price you're paying. However, their hotpot ingredients are quite limited, they basically had no seafood and didn't have lobster balls, fish roe balls or rice cake with cheese. Service was friendly and I enjoyed the non-hotpot dishes we ordered, but I probably wouldn't return for their hotpot.
