"This has been the worst dining experience I’ve ever had this year. I believe I’m being generous by giving them 1 star. The service was absolutely horrifying. We got a table for 2 and would like to get an extra seat for placing our puff jacket and bag as there was no backrest on the chair for hanging the jacket. The staff was extremely rude and blamed us for using their extra seat, given that it was a Monday late night and there were plenty of vacant tables and seats. There were no customers coming in. The staff at the cashier was impatient while we’re paying for our meal. He even didn't bother to say “thank you” and was treating us with utmost rudeness. Not only was the service worth mentioning, the quality of food was totally horrendous. The kimchi pancake was average but chewy. However, the soy garlic and sweet chilli fried chicken were a complete nightmare. The sauce was tasteless and the chicken was ridiculously dry. It was absolutely disappointing and thanks for ruining my entire Monday night. I definitely wouldn't come back for their “excellent” service and food."
"Chicken amazing - honestly the best Korean Friend Chicken I've ever had in Melbourne. Japchae, absolutely amazing. Sausage platter, on the day we visited, horrific fail. Well overcooked and dry. Someone overcooked the sausages by a few minutes and ended up serving dry, hard meat. Would've been perfect otherwise."
"The beef bulgogi is really good. The meat is soft and flavourful. Everything in the dish went well together and it feels pretty balanced. And it was only $14 for the massive portion. The chicken was really tender as well as juicy. I really liked the sauce as it was a bit spicy with a hint of sweetness. For the bone in chicken, there were some pieces that were a bit drier so the cooking was a tad uneven. But overall, it’s pretty good."
"We've been to the Glen Waverley Bon Chicken a couple of times now, most recently for a birthday. It's comfort food, through and through: fried chicken glazed in soy honey sauce, fries dusted with cheese, sweet potato glass noodles and moreish Kim Chi stews and vegetarian soups. For 8 people - 2 children and 6 adults, it was a bit over $200, cheap in today's economy. If you've got a group of people to entertain and don't mind a bit of a tight fit, take them here."
