About the Business
Welcome to Sushi Jiro The Glen, a culinary haven where the artistry and passion of modern Japanese cuisine come to life. Located at 235 Springvale Road in Glen Waverley, Australia, our establishment is a point of interest for food enthusiasts seeking an unforgettable dining experience.
At Sushi Jiro, we specialize in creating exquisite sushi dishes that are meticulously crafted with the finest ingredients. Each dish is a work of art, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures that will tantalize your taste buds. Our sushi is made with beautifully arranged rice and topped with a variety of delectable ingredients, such as fresh fish, seafood, and meat.
From the classic nigiri, where a topping of fish is served on top of sushi rice, to the delicate maki rolls, where rice is wrapped in seaweed with a flavorful filling, we offer a wide range of sushi options to suit every palate. Our boat sushi is a unique creation, with a wide strip of seaweed filled with rice and tantalizing toppings. For those looking for a crispy twist, our deep-fried seaweed taco shells filled with sushi rice and ingredients are a must-try.
We take pride in our commitment to ethical and humane sourcing. In 2018, we became the first and only seafood producer in Australia to meet the RSPCA's detailed animal welfare standards for farmed Atlantic Salmon. This means that when you dine at Sushi Jiro, you can be assured that the seafood we serve has been farmed ethically and with the utmost care for animal welfare.
We understand the importance of catering to dietary needs and allergies. While our highly skilled team takes every precaution to ensure the separation of foods in our kitchen, please note that our products may contain allergens such as milk, eggs, wheat, soybean, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish. If you have any allergies, we strongly recommend avoiding consumption of our products to prevent any adverse reactions.

"FYI: This is a review for one staff member who turned his back when dealing a possible customer, me. I personally haven’t been at this place yet. The Glen has this nice public seating space with a beautiful view of Dandenong ranges. I had my coffee to sit at there but then noticed the bench isn’t clean. Nearest food place is sushi Jiro, I walked up to ask a piece of wet wipes to clean the space myself. A staff member asked me to call the glen’s cleaning staff who I see here often normally and they do an amazing job but at the moment it’s too crowded, I don’t think they would be able to come in with their cleaning trolley due to space is packed with people having lunch. (Edit: one of the cleaning staff, Lakshmi, very kindly cleaned the bench I’m sitting) I understand that especially busy times restaurants wouldn’t want to deal with coming spaces (thinking of possible similar requests before) but turning back to a public member when answering is not nice at all. They should improve their customer service and respect everyone to represent their workplace."
"We had lunch here the other day. Wow. I can't believe a company would have employed the team they had serving paying customers. The food was good. The customer service was disgusting. We were met with blank stares and a confused look. When the next child staff member arrived, we got the same. All three staff members working with your paying customers had no idea. They didn't want to be there. They looled confused when questions were asked. They didn't even make sense when they replied. They would mutter to each other and then walk away. If you want to keep your paying customers, you better employ more professional staff and not family members kids. I will be finding alternatives to this company when i want to eat sushi. Just remember, the people you have serving us (your paying customers) are the face of your company. They can make or break you."
"The sushi train was well 'stocked'. Quick service of ordered via tablet. A bit disappointed that the nori on the handroll was already soggy when it came, as it was made from order."
"Came here for lunch - it’s just what you’d expect from any food court sushi restaurant. It’s enough to keep you satisfied and full but don’t come here with high expectations of great sushi. Not a great amount of choice either but they do have hot food available as well which was a plus in my books."
