"This is a little gem on the Clayton shopping strip. The food is amazingly delicious and the prices are very reasonable compared to similar places elsewhere. My favourite is the Shanghai Pork Fried Noodles. There are very few shops using handmade noodles these days but not Ping's. The handmade noodles are beautifully made and the noodles are fried with a special soy sauce. This is a must-try dish. Their dumplings are also plump and juicy. I strongly recommend that you give it a try."
"First time trying this place, was fully packed during lunch on a Sunday. Pork belly on rice was really delicious, so were the wontons in chilli oil. The dumplings in hot and sour soup were good, but the soup tasted too strong of cloves and other spices for our taste. Will come back to try some other items."
"Very good: low price, large serving size. Good: flavour. Not so good: Seating is very very tight and quite cramped. Chicken and prawn dumplings have a lot of fat and gristle in them."
"Food is alright, it’s super fast paced and I’m not expecting great service, but I would think the servers would at LEAST know what they are bringing to the table… I asked maybe two separate servers what type of dumplings they brought over (we had a group with dietary restrictions), and the response was ‘I don’t know’ and ‘I’m not the one wrapping the dumplings’. But I mean it’s fine, I just opened them up myself haha. My parents really love this place though, especially for the noodles and the value."
"An amazing hidden gem in Clayton. If not for a friend, I would have never stepped foot in this place. The price was good and the portion was amazing. The braised pork on rice was so good. The pork was so tender it melts in your mouth. The pan fried dumplings were delicious, probably the best I’ve had in awhile. The stir fry Shanghai noodles is definitely a must try, absolutely delicious. Overall this place is definitely worth a try if you’re in the area. Will definitely be back."
