At Anzac Park, we are proud to be a part of the Hume City Council, which has made some important decisions recently. In August 2023, the council chose to withdraw its application in the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Victoria. This demonstrates our commitment to transparency and accountability.

In addition, we are celebrating the remarkable contributions and service of Howard Mitchell, who has dedicated 50 years of his life to working with the council. His commitment and dedication are truly commendable.

But that's not all! We are also planning some exciting improvements in the nearby reserves. Turnberry Drive Reserve in Sunbury and Strathconnon Square Reserve in Tullamarine are both undergoing enhancements. We value your opinion, so we invite you to have your say on the playspace concept design. Your feedback will help shape these spaces into vibrant and enjoyable areas for the community.

Speaking of community involvement, we are currently seeking feedback on the proposed name of Rhyolite Drive Reserve. This alternative name will make it easier for visitors or newcomers to locate the reserve. Your input is valuable in creating a sense of belonging and identity within our community.

At Anzac Park, we believe in empowering the youth. That's why FReeZA's HYPE crew is organizing a series of workshops to help you upgrade your skills. Whether you are interested in music, art, or any other creative endeavor, these workshops are a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow. Come and join the HYPE!

If you appreciate art, we have something special for you. Anzac Park is currently hosting a captivating exhibition of intricate drawings of Australian birds. These stunning pieces, created with colored pencils on brown paper, offer a contemplative experience and a unique perspective on our native fauna.

But it's not just about recreation and culture at Anzac Park. We also care about the environment. Hume Clean Days are available to assist you in recycling electronic items, mattresses, whitegoods, tires, and couches. Together, we can make a positive impact on our surroundings.

Lastly, we want to acknowledge and honor the rich Aboriginal heritage within our municipality. We recognize the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung, including the Gunung-Willam-Balluk clan, as the Traditional Custodians of this land. We embrace and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander living cultures as an integral part of Australia's identity. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future.
