Reviews
"This is a unusual place for a cafe. The food presentation were excellent and taste was good but I think it is missing something to be great."
"I've been wanting to try this cafe for a long time as the reviews are high and the food looks delicious. I finally tried it. However, I would say it's a bit of a letdown. The old menu was gone, and most of the dishes that I wanted to try aren't available anymore. The popular lobster croissants are not available either. It's located beside a busy street and intersection, roadside parking is limited. The interior of the restaurant is considered great, cosy, and comfortable. Service is good too. However, the food is not up to the 4.7-star expectation. Too salty and oily.. However, coffee is alright."
"I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the most delightful breakfast experience at The Harvest Ground, and I can't help but share my absolute delight with the world! The Big Harvest Breakfast is a meal that truly exceeded all my expectations and left me feeling thoroughly satisfied and ready to conquer the day. First and foremost, let's talk about the portion size. The Big Harvest Breakfast lives up to its name with an impressive array of mouthwatering goodies that would leave even the heartiest of appetites completely satiated. From the moment it was placed before me, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. The platter was a sight to behold, beautifully arranged with a stunning display of colors and textures. Every ingredient seemed carefully chosen and perfectly prepared. The bacon was crispy yet tender, the sausages were succulent and bursting with flavor, and the eggs were cooked to perfection—lightly creamy on the inside with a golden, buttery exterior. Accompanied by generous servings of roasted tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and fluffy hash browns, this breakfast extravaganza truly ticked all the boxes. The service at The Harvest Ground was exceptional as well. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and passionate about the food they served. They went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of and that I felt genuinely welcomed. It's evident that the team at The Harvest Ground is committed to providing an outstanding dining experience for their customers. To sum it all up, The Big Harvest Breakfast at The Harvest Ground is an absolute triumph. The quality, quantity, and presentation of the food were exceptional, and the attentive service and inviting atmosphere made the experience even more memorable. Whether you're a breakfast aficionado or simply looking for a phenomenal meal to kickstart your day, this is the place to be. Don't miss out on this culinary masterpiece—trust me, your taste buds will thank you!"
"Food was very average and overpriced for what it was. Despite going at an off peak time, the front of house still needed one more staff member. The pulled pork we had was a bit mushy and sloppy. Lacked a bit of flavour but that could be fixed with a bit of sauce and salt. Ambience and fries was good tho."
"Took the family for breakfast here one morning after a walk at the Olds Park nearby. The restaurant is nice and cosy with a homey feel to it. The staff were attentive and professional. The food was just okay though. There was no wow factor to the food, just somewhere in the middle. Main complaint is the Harvest Big Breakfast. While it's pretty standard in terms of items to other restaurants, the texture and taste were very lacking. Scrambled eggs were very runny, baked beans were bland, and grill tomatoes and spinach were salty. The sausage was good though with a spicy kick to it. Order two iced-latte, one normal and the other with ice-cream. They both taste exactly the same. The only difference was that one had a bit more froth. That was a disappointment. All in all it was an experience but not one worth repeating."
