WAO Superclub

"A friend who works at Wao said they try to kick out people who look like they won’t buy more drinks as they only care about money and not the people who make their business thrive in the first place. I never usually write reviews but this particular female security guard who is always on the second floor on Fridays needs a performance review and a personality change. Kicked my friend out for being too drunk when we were just holding hands through the crowd so we didn’t lose anyone as we moved forward (basic club concept). My friend could make easy conversation with her and showed her completely walking straight as she only had 2 standard drinks about 3 hours prior. I have no problem with her being kicked out if it’s actually reasonable as I would want her to go home IF she was drunk. Words were exchanged and eventually she called my friend and I ANOREXIC. Not that this matters but for reference we’re average petite size 160 cm and 50kg. She’s meant to be trained to deal with people who have had a drink and she’s obviously sober so what is her excuse for body shaming? There was also a man crawling on the floor in front of the security guard but my friend was picked to be kicked out instead."

"it was an alright clubbing experience! they had a special deal that you could get before 10pm, and whilst we were in the queue an hour and a half before, they didn’t let us have the discount which was disappointing. the songs was pre alright coz they have a throwback section of the club, and the lights and colours were pretty intense which is good for clubbing"

"Me and my friends were kicked out for the club for being "drunk" by this manager call Imigen for NO.REASON. I had a perfectly fine conversation with her and without giving me a reason proceeded to say that was drunk and had to leave the premise. Are these the kind of managers you employ?"

"Worst place to be. Just came in , ordered 1x drink & and closed my eyes while dancing - then they thought I was drunk, verbally accused me of acting sober and kicked me out - bloody ridiculous. DON'T COME HERE, THEY'RE JUST AIMING FOR YOUR MONEY! I've booked tables multiple times and they kept doing the same amateur security protocol. Will never recommend this venue. All plans to book tables for future events are surely cancelled, until they replace their amateur quality security - as other people complained about the same exact experience as well."

"Terrible Place. Came here for the first time with a small group and we were in for 20 minutes before buying a drink. One of our friends took one sip of her drink and rested her head and 3 security guards swarmed us telling us to get out for her being intoxicated and sleepy. They also told her to leave her her untouched drink and sent all of us out after paying. YOU GUYS ARE TERRIBLE AND NEED TO LEARN HOW TO RUN AN ESTABLISHMENT."
