"It might be authentic, but the flavours are hard for non Mongolians to get use to. The 'milk tea' might be super cheap, but it tasted like butter melted in hot milk with an extra dash of salt. If you want to try, you need to go early. There was only 9 or so dishes on the menu (including the sides) and they had already sold out of two of the mains."
"Heard the Ger House Mongolian cuisine name (before COVID?), finally here. Was expecting Temüjin paintings / statues but none ;-) Quite modern & cozy restaurant, it was 2pm during school holidays therefore not busy, only one other table. All food seems to be freshly steamed / cooked so it may take a while, be prepared. Love the Buuz! It's in faceted steamed dumplings with beef stuffing (sounds like steamed bun in Mandarin). Personally I don't normally like beef stuffing but the Buuz was perfectly marinated, juicy, very well presented, the side dish - coleslaw was really a surprising refreshment, all love it. Tsuivan is basically fried noodles with meat and vegies, love the texture of the noodles and smoky flavour of beef, should be a must as main. Clear lamb soup with steamed noodles, it looked very traditional and authentic way of cooking, however, the soup was flavourless, I reckon consumers are expected to add grinder rock salt or soy sauce according to their personal preference (I have to ask the shop owners next time - it'll be nice to add some history/story and instructions on the menu so customers can understand the correct way to consume Mongolian dishes). Service could have been better but I won't blame the hardworking staff behind the scene ;-) The girl did a good job serving us. Will definitely come back for experiencing more, hope the owners can tell us a bit more about different options."
"Very homely and relaxing experience! Beef Goulash was very hearty. The fun starts when you mix the different flavours with every spoonful. Mongolian beef dumplings were mouth-watering. The coleslaw resets your tastebuds so you can enjoy its flavour again. It's definitely worth a try, and I don't mind coming back. Come support this small local family business! ☺️"
"Love it! Found this place quite by accident, it's really a hidden gem. The food is very tasty and homemade. This is the first time for us to try Mongolian cuisine, but we will come back here to enjoy other dishes too. It's best to come with friends or family to try more. Really good!"
