"Lovely lunch with a great city view. no official wine tasting, but the staff did offer to allow us to taste the wine offerings at no charge. We had the zucchini flowers, calamari & the roasted potatoes. All were cooked well, The calamari did have something that attributed some spice to the dish, which was for me but not for my companion. still a lovely visit, which we finished with a wine outside enjoying the sun and the view."

"Booked in for Easter Sunday lunch here - they were offering a semi set menu at $58pp including shared antipasto and a choice of main. Antipasto was nice, mains that weren’t pizza were great. Mum had the steak salad and enjoyed it and my aunt had the Barramundi with Mango Salsa and Roasted Potatoes which was also really good. Pizzas were really underwhelming! Toppings were generous and great flavour BUT the pizza base was sooooo disappointing! Floppy and totally soft! Either the bases were pre cooked to save time given Easter would be busy for the venue, or the oven wasn’t hot enough. Despite several wait staff enquiring on how our meals were and I did mention that both my husband and I were not happy with our pizzas several times, they didn’t do anything or offer anything instead. I ate the topping off my pizza - I ordered the Massaro - Buffalo Mozzarella and Prosciutto and my husband had the Lamb pizza, but we left the soggy bases as they were just awful. Desert we ordered one lemon tart to share. Great view and loved the venue but food was a let dine sadly ! Melbourne has so many great wood-fire pizzas - sadly this place doesn’t get it right."

"We had my mum‘s 70th birthday in the private function room at Massaros last Sunday, and the day was absolutely perfect! Vanessa was so wonderful to deal with, not only on the day but in the lead up to the event as well ….always getting back to me promptly with (the many) questions I asked along the way and nothing was too hard. The food was absolutely incredible and there was so much of it! It’s great they offer a few different options for group functions and the variety was fantastic. It was a grazing/sharing platter type setup which is the best way to eat. They also have a fabulous wine selection that is not too overcomplicated, but has something for everyone who enjoys a vino or 5! The venue is just stunning and we were so lucky to get the most beautiful Sunny winter day, the views are breathtaking. If you are looking for a venue to have an intimate private function (seats up to 40 I think) I would highly recommend Massaros, we will be back soon!"
