"An AAT Kings tour sold via Viator published the wrong pick up time. Neither AAT Kings or Viator took responsibility for this mistake, and both refused to give me a refund on the trip. I booked an Uluru Sunrise tour with a pick up time of 3.50AM. We arrived at said time, along with a number of other families, and when the tour bus didn't come on time, one of us called AAT Kings and they said they published the wrong time - the actual pick up time was 5.50AM. At no time during this whole debacle was an apology issued, despite so many people waking up at 3AM only to be told this was for no reason. We were no longer able to attend the tour because we had to make a flight, so we requested a refund through AAT Kings and Viator. Neither party took responsibility, and AAT Kings blamed me for not calling up 48 hours before the event time to confirm the pick up time. Two issues with this: (1) we booked the tour within 48 hours of it starting (2) the onus should not be on the customer when AAT Kings changes the tour time / publishes the wrong tour time. Despite hours on the phone, Viator refused to give us a refund - I didn't expect this to be given to us anyway given it is a huge company that has customer service offshore. But, I expected better from AAT Kings. I was disappointed when at first instance on the phone, Tiarne blamed me for not calling up 48 hours beforehand and said it was my fault. I was disappointed when they passed the buck to Viator and said there was nothing that could be done. I get that Viator takes a cut out of their profit - but why not offer me the refund minus whatever service fee Viator took? The tour was not fully booked so they did not lose any potential income from this if they did refund me. I expected better from an Australian tour company. I would not reccomend them to my family or friends."

"We have just been on a 9 day Gulf Savannah Heritage Tour which started in Cairns. This was a great tour of the Queensland outback from mountainous regions of dense rainforest to the flat plains of the outback. The tour had many highlights including rides on the Savannahlander & Gulflander trains, cruises on the Gulf of Capricorn from Karumba, Lawn Hill gorge & Cobbold gorge. Each of these were spectacular in their own right. All the members of the tour were sociable and friendly which made our experience more memorable. Our driver John was very professional and courteous to all and provided excellent commentary throughout the tour. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in knowing more about Queensland and its history."
