"We came here for dinner on a Saturday before going groceries. We were happy that they are still taking orders even after 8pm, the places near Khao Pla closes early. We ordered Pad Thai, Crying Tiger (Beef) and Chicken with Cashew. Pad Thai was really good. We don't normally order Pad Thai because the thick noodles feel too heavy. But they are using the thin noodles. It was bit spicy but just the right amount of spice. Crying Tiger beef was very tender. Love it! The dip is also a winner. Also liked spicy Chicken with cashew. Sauce was flavourful. We did not order rice, but I reckon this dish is good with rice."
"Food was delicious. We came for some light snacks after our movie. They had great lunch specials too which we will try out next time we are here. $13.50 for their lunch specials and and extra $1 to add a soft drink."
"I'm giving this place a low rating of 3 star due to the service here. It's not a very welcoming atmosphere. However, the food was really good. I ordered the pad see eiw (#38 on the menu). This dish was definitely tasty! You could taste that it's actually cooked in a wok rather then just a normal pan. There's a nice wok aroma and concentration of the all the combined flavour of the pad see eiw. For the second dish, I've ordered som tum - green papaya salad (#09 on the menu). The only thing with this dish is that you can't adjust the spicy level. When we were there, the pad see eiw came out first and we had almost finished eating it but the salad was still not out. I asked a staff when my papaya salad was coming since I'm almost done with my pad see eiw. She went to check with the staff in kitchen but NEVER went back to tell me what happened. She just went away and did something else. When my papaya salad came, nothing was said to me. Not even - " sorry for the wait"...NOTHING. There needs to be better communication between staff and customers. Better training for customer service."
"Premium Thai food sums it up. You pay a little extra more for the quality and its well worth it. Tried the massam curry, the flavours was rich and creamy. The beef was cooked perfectly and melts in you mouth."
"Thai used to be trendy 4 years ago, this is a whole new experience for me because I've had so many average Thai meals over time BUT this is Khao Pla that I've recently discovered. Khao Pla serves authentic Thai which is refreshing and tasty, make no mistake if spice is not your friend you best go somewhere else. We ordered the Laotian beef salad this time which was unbelievably good. On the first outing, we had the Nashi pear with Soft shell crab salad which was outstanding. Both Pad See Yew and Pad Thai are excellent and may appeal to first timers, but as its our second time here we also ordered the Kai Yang(grilled chicken) which was definitely a crowd pleaser, marinated and grilled to perfection! Dessert of Mango and sticky rice needs no introduction and was a wonderful way of finishing off the meal. Bravo to the chefs and staff who are all excellent."
