"Very cosy cafe & bakery. My first time and it won't be the last. The coffee was good but my breakfast order was fantastic. Best brekky i have had in years. I had the scrambled eggs on potato rosti's with smoked salmon. I swapped the salmon for bacon. The rosti was crispy and tasty and the scrambled eggs were almost as good as Bill's. Very satisfying indeed"
"Fat Goose has potential and with little additional effort could be really good. Currently they provide lackluster engagement and mediocre food. It’s a shame as I took my wife for a birthday breakfast. Come on guys please for your sake lift your game. I think you for some reason have become complacent or tied."
"Waitress was really nice, but that's pretty much all I can give them credit for. Not many people in there, yet took close to an hour to cook. Would expect more than half a piece of bacon when paying $25. Hash brown was still part frozen, eggs were cold as a rock and the half a piece of bacon looked like it had been sitting for an hour. Had to send it back as it was not edible. For how many cooks they had in the kitchen and little customers, you'd think they'd get it out faster and fresh."
"Really disappointed. Ordered berry pancakes and Half-Moon Rocks. Food was not very good. Staff unhelpful. Surprised as croissants are always terrific."
"Staff were OK but were not very well trained. Could not answer simple questions about what was good on the menu or what coffee they used. Long black came burnt so partner had to swap for a cold brew. Finally ordered massaman beef pie and the supreme burger. The pie filling was nice but crust was very underwhelming. Chips with the burger also good. However, there was absolutely nothing supreme about the burger. Slathered in mustard likely to cover the taste of the rest of the burger, which might have been pushing the expiry date. Very odd, grey, bland but slightly off tasting meat that left my stomach feeling very uneasy afterwards. Needless to saybI could not finish the burger. Highly recommend you avoid this one, even if you feel you don't have many other options in Killcare."
