Reviews
"Have been looking for a new "go to" Indian restaurant on the beaches ever since The Grand Palace in Mona Vale dropped the ball so magnificently. Tried "The Indian Joint" and was not impressed. Not a smile to be seen in the place and we were told as soon as we sat down that we had to be out in an hour. Not a great start to the meal. The food was instantly forgettable, average at best and didn't have much flavour at all. The facilities were absolutely disgusting and resembled a crime scene more than a bathroom. Overall 2/5 seems generous to be honest and it appears as if my hunt for a decent Indian restaurant on the beaches continues."
"It's my absolute favourite place to get a curry on the Northern Beaches! I have been many times, and they never disappoint! Great, friendly service, too! Delicious every time, highly recommend!"
"My wife and I ate here once and had a great meal and a lovely chat with the owner (I believe) and have been going back for takeaway ever since. Absolutely the best takeaway service I've received anywhere, every time! They are just so consistent! It's the only place that I know for sure I'll get exactly what I ordered, exactly when I expect it. They have your name saved if you've called before. They call back quickly if they miss your call, confirm you understand numbers of items in a serve, repeat back your order and give you an (ever so slightly over) estimate of the time it'll take so you're never waiting longer than anticipated. They'll then text you when it's ready. On pick-up they'll greet you with a smile and read back your order against the checklist on the bag to make sure you've got everything you expected. The food is consistently hot and delicious. As for spice level I'd say the medium is slightly hotter than the medium at some other places. Love it, now my go to for Indian takeaways."
"Free Flowing Papadoms! What a lovely experience. Liberal serving of Chutney and Dips as well. That's rare generosity for a Sydney restaurant in this day and age. The owner was there today serving the customers - what a humble and polite gentleman. The girls were also accommodating and attentive. Food was bomb! I recommend getting the Fish Masala and Lamb Vindaloo. Rice was well made and for an Asian to compliment the rice, it's saying something. BYO allowed so we paired the curry with a peppery red wine. Heaven. ☺️ Easily one of the best Indian joints in the Northern Beaches."
