The Eate Restaurant
About the Business
Welcome to The Eate Restaurant, located in the vibrant suburb of Dulwich Hill, Australia. Our establishment is a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and those seeking a unique dining experience. As a restaurant, store, and point of interest, we pride ourselves on offering the finest quality food and beverages.
At The Eate, we believe that quality always comes first. That's why we go above and beyond to ensure that every dish we serve is of the highest standard. Our commitment to excellence starts with our selection of ingredients. We have established direct partnerships with local farmers and growers to source the freshest seasonal fruits, vegetables, and organic produce. Additionally, we work closely with farmers to obtain premium quality lamb, beef, chicken, and other meats.
One of the highlights of dining at The Eate is our ancient fire cooking technique. Inspired by the Basque Times, our Mediterranean restaurant utilizes specially selected charcoal and smoking barks to create a truly remarkable fire-cooked experience. The result is a unique and tantalizing flavor that can only be achieved through this traditional method.
Our menu showcases a diverse range of dishes, all made in-house with utmost care and attention to detail. From our signature pickled forgotten vegetables to our exquisite seafood sourced directly from local fish markets, every bite is a testament to our dedication to providing an unforgettable culinary journey.
In addition to our exceptional food, we are excited to announce the addition of our bar at The Eate. Come and explore our carefully curated selection of hand-selected specialties and cocktails, crafted with the same level of passion and commitment to quality that defines our restaurant.
We are proud to be an active member of the local community and prioritize sustainability. By recycling, composting, and minimizing our carbon footprint, we strive to contribute to a more sustainable future. Supporting local businesses is also a core value of ours, as we believe in fostering a strong and interconnected community.
Whether you're seeking a memorable dining experience, a place to enjoy a refreshing cocktail, or a store that offers the finest ingredients, The Eate Restaurant is your ultimate destination. Join us and indulge in the flavors of our ancient fire cooking and the warm hospitality that defines our establishment.

"It was a quiet Monday. But the soccer was on so there was a buzz. Takeaway arrived quickly and as always the food was awesome. You have to try the spiced eggplant chips, the chicken and the pita wraps."
"The lamb was really nice but the chicken wasn't great, it needed more time on the charcoal to get crispy from the outside, the inside was dry too The side pickles and leafy sides were average The service was great though and the atmosphere was nice It's also dog friendly outside which is always a bonus"
"The lamb was top notch. Very nice and tender with the charcoal taste to it. Chicken was okay. Needed to be half cooked on charcoal. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Nice variety of beer."
"Came here on reading the great reviews and recommendations. And they were correct. Very tasty food and coffee. The wagu burger was one of the best tasting burgers I have had. Also tried the sticky date pudding and it was very yummy. We will be back again. Definitely recommended."
"Whilst I'm still wondering what "The Eate" means (is it Latin or Spanish or something else?) I was pleasantly surprised by the food. It was delicious and with generous serves. The service was poor - hopefully with the appointment of some skilled wait staff or additional training, their service will improve. You will definitely come for the food. From amazing calamari to the divine chicken and succulent lamb. Very nice. If you are temped by the shaker fries. Don't bother."
