"Batter is so thick, it was horrible unfortunately didn’t live up to the hype of the location. probably around 15 chips in the meal we paid $31.28 including the 10% holiday surcharge. $2.50 for a small tub of Sauce, smallest piece of lemon. Do not recommend."
"Currently warm, nice day to get take out from this lovely fish n’chip shop. Made to fresh order. Ordered :- Large basket combo. seafood stick fish cocktails prawn & Calamari. with chips. Chips were hot and crispy. Seafood were light fluffy and crispy. Chicken salt tied the whole meal together."
"The BBQ snapper fillet was cooked to perfection! The prawn and crab stick salad was awesome..BUT.. The Greek salads LOOK good on display and full of 'other than' tomato, cucumber olives & fetta. But once you get past the top layer the rest (about 60%) is all bad tasting lettuce. Disappointed. I mean how much does it cost to fill it up with the good stuff? I paid a lot for what we got.. I feel ripped off.. Here are some pictures"
"The prawns are made of either rubber or puke. Not sure which. The chips look and taste like they were cooked in used motor oil and are covered in bruises. Update: 4 years later, at least the food wasn't burnt but the fish tasted like oil and flour. Eating the cheapest packaged fish from Woolies would have tasted better.. the chips were still disgusting. My kid was eating chips from Oporto, tried one of mine from here, spat it out, and told me how disgusting it was. We paid $10 for this container with a fraction of a lettuce, half a tomato, a touch of cucumber, a few olives and feta pieces.. We also waited too long in line for our food to come out. It's NYE and they were unable to keep up. It looked like there were only two people cooking so no idea if it was a staffing issue or just trying to save cost."
"About average, at least it comes out quickly. Cons: * fish batter (standard house fillet) a little too dark/crispy * standard choice of fish for fillet is a bit watery, maybe it’s Basa. Something former like Hoki is a better baseline * chips taste alright, not great and a bit of a weird yellow hue - possibly from canola. Pros: * they do chicken nuggets for kids * it comes out quick * it’s the only choice on the beach * pineapple fritter is pretty decent You won’t regret it, but you probably won’t praise it"
