"Came here in Feb 2023 and had one of the best carbonaras of my life (am an enthusiast of carbonara) Sadly, just drove 40 minutes to come here and it's not on the menu anymore. So when I was hoping to find out more by checking with the host if there's a menu change, she goes "I don't know when was the last time you're here so I don't know" looking annoyed, so to bring her smile back up for the next customer being a group of white elderly ladies. Great environment and view, poor crowd management and service, and to top that , casual discrimination. Grossed out"
"We were happy to visit restaurant at St George sailing club (before if was ‘Captain’s Grill’) for over 20 years; but recent visit was big disappointment. We have booked a table to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday well in advance. We actually came to the restaurant to make sure we would get nice seat on the day. As each table have a number, we asked for particular table, but as that could not be arranged, we asked for the table in the main area rather than at the back of the restaurant. There were a few reservations for particular day, and they put the special request on our booking. When we came for celebration, we found out that our requirement was totally ignored and we were given a table at the back area with no alternative. The mood was ruined, and it was late to go somewhere else, so we had to accept the offer. It is hard to understand how the stuff manage the booking system, as on weekends there are too many people to be accommodated. Why have numbers then – only for billing? and what about customer satisfactions? I am not even talking about noise and overcrowded restaurant on any weekend due to large number of tables positioned very close to each other, despite of much enlarged restaurant area. It seems that the only concern for management is to get as many people as possible. The food was good, but I recon it is quite pricey for what you get."
"Beautiful view of sea and boats, service isn’t great, staff were friendly though but checked on us twice while we were there for 4+ hours. Tables and chair were dirty with previous customers drinks etc and broken glass all over the floor, we had to ask the staff to clean our table and even then they did not clean it properly. Fried food came out cold and the coffee. If you are wanting to hangout with mates and have some snacks and drinks then this is the perfect place, it’s not for a romantic dinner."
"30 Dec dinner with family it was a pleasant experience good service and fresh sea food player for two."
"Today was a little disappointing! We asked for the dessert menu took forever to take our order, it’s like they had forgotten about our table which spent approx $200.00! We decided to just leave! We used to have amazing service until today at lunch time."
