"I never been into this place but he had a stand beside liverpool plaza during islamic festival. So i ordered one shawerma (Kebab) and one burger. Ihad to throw my burger and the bite after the first bite. As for the shawerma sandwich; it was nice that they called it shawerma or else i would not know what i was eating. It was actually a sandwich of lettuce and sauce and some traces of chicken. I had to open the sandwich to make sure there was chicken in side it, which was very very little amount . And they took 16$ as far as iremember for the sandwich alone"
"New restaurant, they moving from Elizabeth Dr to Macquarie St in Liverpool Iran Culture cooking Food, Mix plat, kofta, chicken, lam (charcoal)"
"I love the new owners of the restaurant. I already saw a big difference in management and improvement with the food. We ordered on phone and we picked up. Our food was very clean and fresh. Salads didn't have acidic taste like it was made 3 days ago, bread seems to be baked in same 1hour the smell and taste was very nice. Meat was cooked nicely and didn't have after taste which means fresh made. For the rice it felt slightly dry for my liking but taste good. im happy to see local business/restaurants improve it means others will have competition making their food better."
"(3.5 stars) While I was sorry to see the back of the Afghani restaurant, Bakhtar, the Arkan Kebab House replacement scratches a similar itch. Coming from a neighbouring, Persian sensibility, it’s still a good place to eat a mix plate kebab ($21). In fact, this item is a direct carry-over from the old Bakhtar menu, with three kebab (chicken, lamb and mince) presented with a blackened tomato on an ornate platter. Charred golden turmeric marinated chicken eats well against pickles in pliable warm flatbread. Rather than presented on the plate, the pickles are self-service from a salad bar arrangement, where you can indulge in as many as you like. It makes for an economical and healthy shared meal to eat a little meat, and a shared bowl of tabse badenjan ($7). In this Iranian dish, lentils are cooked in a rich blend of tomatoes and spice, with a quirky French Fries topping for some crunch. For those breaking their fast here during Ramadan, there are platters of dates, and a bowl of thick and salty lentil soup to line your tummy for the cheap feast ahead. Even those who are not Muslim are welcome to partake of these free offerings."
"Flavoursome rice and meat platters, fresh salads, tasty yoghurt drink, all topped up by friendly service and very reasonable prices. I felt at home here and it was the first time I had been. I would go back any time."
