"Went to this place after a long time. Certainly the staff are much more friendly than before. Service was great as the staff kept on asking is everything alright. Food quality was good but seriously charged us $18 for a piece of chicken and rice! How much does a boiled egg cost???? Is it too expensive?! Gave a lot of rice, I was expecting an egg inside, rice is more than enough for 2 people! Chicken taste was good, but lost a lot of meat during cooking (I understand that it becomes tender during cooking and the meat comes off). Chicken was full of oil, not enough gravy. Should consider giving customer the value for money!!! Service certainly improved, but still not value for money. We went there after a long time because the other restaurants were busy. No wonder this place is always quiet!!! That’s it for me, never ever going back to this restaurant. We got a little piece of chicken with a lot of rice. Please re consider your visit, and spend your money elsewhere."
"Pros: Nothing Cons: Tasteless food- rohu & baramundi fish curry. Worst fish curry I had in my life. Tasteless & full of Chilli. Varta was bad. Even the sweets were bad. Ladoo was bland and Tasteless. Who makes Ladoo bad ? I will never waste my money here again. Sorry but not worth paying for this kind of food."
"I have been recommended to come to this Authentic bangladesh restaurant by some friends. Guess they are right. The food was fresh not dry and full of flavour. I liked the way the chief put some nuts in the katchi buriani that added nice finish to the texture. They have nice dessert must try after your meal if you still have space left as their meals are big."
"Absolutely perfect. We were at the restaurant twice. The first one was an accidental discovery and boy it was perfect. I loved chicken fry rice. It's an authentic Bangla dish and it was so tasty to the last grain. Vorta or bharta was so delicious as well. Tea was perfectly made And then Bangla sweets.. there's no equal. The second time we tried something different from the first time.. and yes, it was really good. Give this place a try. I want to come back for more."
"The only amazing feature of this restaurant is how they managed to get a 4-star rating. If you’re reading this on the go, I suggest you take a seat; I have a lot to say and I’m not going to be gentle. Like all good reviews, we’ll be starting this recount at the very beginning, the phone order. I ordered some random chicken dish and a butter chicken with some Naan bread. I verified that the chicken was boneless and then was told to grab the food in 30 minutes. When I arrived, the food was out on the counter (cold) and the naan bread was double insulated in 2 bags and soggy. A tiny voice inside me advised me to run. Just scrap the order and grab some HJ’s for the win. I neglected that little voice. Only now do I understand what real regret is. I waited at the counter for 8 minutes with no acknowledgment from staff. I’m a naturally curious guy, so I thought I’d look around the restaurant. One of the chefs (no uniforms at all so I’m assuming) walked out of the kitchen wearing crocs and flexibly stretching some dough behind his back. Still wasn’t deterred though, this place got 4 stars and I need to know why! I was finally summoned with a finger pointing, given the eftpos machine with no idea on price, thanked and hopped into my car for the ride home, eager to try some butter chicken goodness. Now this is the juicy part. I know their secret ingredient. It’s oil. These blokes saturate everything in oil. If you don’t believe me, look at the pictures. I can’t explain exactly how much oil they used, but I’ll tell you the plus sides I noticed; - My front door no longer squeaks - You don’t have to chew the food as it slides straight down your throat - You can strain the oil from the food then have enough to service a diesel truck for the next 2 years. - My tongue whips around the inside of my mouth like Venom. I literally have no control over it. I could barely talk until I chewed on some saw dust to soak up the oil reserves. Obviously, the food was disgusting. So disgusting in fact, that for the first time in my life, I returned food to a restaurant for a refund. Bear in mind that I had to pack everything back up (and it was slippery!), hop back in the car, drive back to these wombats and explain to them why they can’t serve people chicken flavoured oil. I was extensively questioned, promised a refund, then told they couldn’t do a refund, then asked why I wasn’t satisfied with the boiled rice, then promised a bank transfer. Still waiting on that refund. Anyway, unless you want inquiries/invasion from the US department of defence about your oil reserves, don’t bother with this place."
