"Really nice customer experience and friendly staff, nostalgic atmosphere, pretty decent food; just like stepping into a time capsule (in a good way!)"
"Such a nice place to have a clean loo stop and then lunch with the very friendly, efficient staff! Huge thankyou, so much better than the manic fuel/food/loo stops on the highway. Well worth the detour."
"I stopped by to grab some breakfast on the way to work. The service was fine. I ordered a large coffee, almond croissant and lemon pepper chicken wrap. $26.80 seemed expensive but I didn’t question it, everything has gone up recently. The coffee was good… that’s about the best of it. My lemon pepper chicken wrap seemed like it was made yesterday at best. I literally took 2 bites and decided that it wasn’t worth eating the rest. My croissant, obviously not made on site and I wasn’t expecting bakers quality, but I would bet it was probably put on display earlier this week given how dry and crumbly (not flaky like you would expect). It was fine once I microwaved it for 20 seconds after I got to work. Overall, it wasn’t worth going out of my way to buy anything."
"For those of us who stopped at his iconic venue before the freeway was built, it is heavy with nostalgia. The milkshakes are still great, the takeaway food still greasy and tasty, the menu almost unchanged since its opening. It's a good stop if you want your standard takeaway fare. Atmosphere and decor still feels like it's the 80s. It could definitely use a spruce up."
"BEST MILKSHAKE, WORST BURGER! Ordered the Hawaiian Burger and it came out stone cold! Asked why, was told it was the “salad” that cooled it down. When I asked the “cook” whether he had toasted the bun, he said, “only if the custom requests it.” I believe that’s the opposite of the norm. It came back out feeling warm but now the interior was cold! Also the “meat” looked like a veggie patty not beef. Took a couple of bites and chucked it. The milkshake, however, is what they are famous for and it delivered in a BIG way! Come for the milkshakes, leave the burgers!"
