"The food we have had dining in has always been outstanding; however, I ordered the cannelloni through Uber eats last night and struggled to even eat it. Was very disappointed with both the presentation, taste and overall quality of the meal. For a $38 meal, I would not recommend it."
"Beware the Amici price scam. If they haven't told you the price in advance ASK!! They will offer specials verbally without disclosing price. ASK!! There are "Market Price" items on the menu. ASK!! The pea and thimble trick they played on us was I was deciding between the duck from the verbal special list she had just rattled off and the "Market Price" Scampi from the menu. I didn't know the price of either but that got lost in the banter. I asked which she would recommend. She convinced me to order the Scampi. It was delicious. It was also major bill shock seeing the cost of 5 scampi on a plate at $85. All the other mains on the menu range from $28 to $42. The food and service at this long time establishment have always been good. This menu hustle though is infuriating. We told them we were not happy. Crickets. They know what they are doing. It was clearly intentional. Must happen all the time. They should be ashamed of themselves."
"We are northern beach locals who had lunch here today with our father visiting from out of town. The food was magnificent. Equal to the quality of the food was the impeccable customer service, hospitality, friendliness, and understanding delivered by Marco in the dining room. I highly recommend this restaurant as the combination of the chef’s very delicious food with Marco’s elite customer service expertise makes this place an absolute must visit. We had a tremendous experience because of these two factors."
"I went with a friend who rates this as one of her top three restaurants in restaurants in the world! It's a steep set of stairs from the street that opens into a welcoming and delicious smelling restaurant. My friend, who has been a regular, spoke to the friendly manager and enquired after his signature limoncello. He brought out two tasting glasses. She was so impressed, she bought a bottle of the lychee flavoured one. I ordered the bruscetta as an entree and it was bursting with flavour. For the main, I had the entree sized mussels. The tomato and garlic sauce around around the mussels was rich and delicious and tasty, but for whatever reason, I found the flavour of the mussels themselves to be a little lacking. My friend had the crab linguini, which she pronounced 'Divine! For dessert, I had the passionfruit creme brulee, The custard was creamy, rich, and sweet however I would have liked the sugared top to go right to the edges and for it to be slightly thicker as I usually love the cracking sensation with the back of my spoon when I have that sweet."
"Excellent food and service. We had a good variety of the menu, sharing plates etc. All of the meals were delicious and well presented. The service was very good and Marco is a master of his trade, and makes excellent cocktails. The decor and entry needs updating and some love but Im guessing it's a local secret/gem. Would definitely go again"
