"Probably wouldn’t go here again, they didn’t have the smaller bag option so we’re made to order the second bag which cost $154.95 otherwise you could pick and choose and make your own bag which costs more. We ordered the garlic butter as we don’t like spice and the pepper sauce last time was too strong. Well the strong taste of pepper once again took over which made the taste of the sauce not eatable for me. My partner pretty much ate it all I only had a few bites as I don’t like pepper. He wasn’t overly impressed either. Total bill was almost $200 that was for the 2nd option bag, kids meal and a jug of coke. Not worth the money from my personal experience!"
"Sampled a small portion of the menu and was thrilled, lovely flavours, fresh seafood, a clean environment and lovely staff. It could use a bit more atmosphere. Maybe some short videos on the screen they have about how they source and cook their food."
"I think we have just discovered the most friendly restaurant team in Penrith! Mandy and her staff were so welcoming, attentive and efficient. Our food was devine, the seafood bag was huge and piping hot! The wait staff tended to our every need, offering drinks, cutlery, wipes, serviettes. The occasion was a birthday dinner and four of team came out and sung happy birthday while we cut the cake. Obviously staff here are looked after as they were all so cheerful and happy. There was a 50% Monday night special which was great value. The restaurant was very light and airy and easy to move around, not jam packed with too many tables. We had a booth which was perfect. I couldn't fault Kickin- Inn in anyway, this is by far one of Penriths best. Thanks for a great night. Chris"
"The good points: - Food comes out quickly - The pasta was surprisingly good, very fresh, vibrant tomato flavour. - Eating off a table is fun. The not so good points: - The wait staff struggle with large tables, bringing out bags and not knowing what was in each but just trying to identify the seafood visually through the bags and not mentioning sauce flavours. - The biggest problem with cooking a mix of seafood in one bag, they all take different times to cook so some things will over be over. Not great with seafood. - The bugs were so tiny, smaller then an index finger, not worth the $29.95 for two and a half of them. - Drink options are very limited - Vegetarians not at all catered for with the options available including one pasta otherwise you are limited to sides and apps. - Did not have multiple menu items - $15.95 for chips. Yep. Overall thoughts. You are paying (a lot) for the experience of eating food off a table. The food is not of high quality and overcooked and when you see how expensive the limited options of drinks are, you wont want to stick around. Just go to the pub across the road."
