About Sydney Short Film Festival
Welcome to the Sydney Short Film Festival, an independent film festival dedicated to showcasing the brilliance of short films. Located in the heart of Randwick, on Saint Pauls Street, our institution aims to bring attention to a category of cinema that often goes unnoticed in the mainstream media. We believe that short films have the power to challenge and transform the way we think about cinema, and we provide a platform for filmmakers from all over the world to share their unique perspectives.
Our festival takes place in the iconic Ritz cinema, a stunning Heritage-listed Art Deco-era theater that specializes in both mainstream and arthouse films. This beautiful venue sets the perfect backdrop for our screenings, creating an immersive and unforgettable cinematic experience.
But the Sydney Short Film Festival is not just about watching films. After each screening, our audience has the incredible opportunity to meet the filmmakers and our dedicated team in our lively after party. This is a chance to engage with the creative minds behind the films, exchange ideas, and celebrate the power of storytelling through film.
We are immensely grateful for the support and generosity of our sponsors, friends, and partners, particularly our collaboration with the C3: Center for Conscious Creativity, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit fiscal sponsor. Their support allows us to continue offering valuable educational programs that benefit our community. If you would like to contribute and help us sustain these initiatives, we encourage you to make a tax-deductible donation through the provided link.
The Sydney Short Film Festival is part of the HF Productions Global Event Series, and we are proud to be a fiscally sponsored project of C3: Conscious Creativity 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization. By attending our film screenings and providing financial support, you become an active participant in our mission to deliver international, inclusive, and impactful opportunities. Together, we can make a difference across the globe through the power of film.
Join us at the Sydney Short Film Festival and be captivated by the magic of short films that push boundaries, challenge conventions, and inspire us to see the world in a different light.
