"Food: very good Service: very good Food came very quickly after we placed the order. They look the same as the pictures - nice plating. My favourite food is the eggplant, wagyu skewers and pork ribs. Would like to try other food next time. Help yourselves section has miso soup, chicken wings, and dessert soup."
"We came to Daiku Japanese Restaurant on a Saturday night as walk in customs. The restaurant manager went out of their way to get a table for us which was very kind. You will have a choice of ordering A la carte or buffet. We ordered a la carte and were very happy with the selection. The buffet is ordered through QR code on the table but as we did not use that I can't comment on it. Sushi was incredibly good, Nasu dengaku is the best we've ever had. Pork ribs were great. All the food we ordered was delicious. Vegetarian Korokkeke looks plain but us yummy! Check out the pictures and give Daiku a go."
"Reserved on 2nd July with a promotion of 10% off, until 31st July at the time of booking, Went on 27th July and staff said the promotion was for soft opening and it was ceased a couple of weeks ago by upper management. It would be nice if they at least emailed patrons that the condition had changed even I'd still be going anyway. There were about 5 groups at the restaurant and we were lucky to have the booth seats away from the noisy main area (I requested at the time of booking). Good presentation of dishes, on a rather small menu. If you are aiming at sashimi and good sushi, you may be disappointed that the fish and scallops were all thinly sliced (around 3mm thick). Beef and chicken skewers, pork and the steak were all tasteless, but cooked well so it was pure meat flavour and juicy. There were 3 or 4 staff on the floor and they were all running their feet off. One senior lady was very polite and helpful, the others were in such a rush that they almost threw / tossed the dishes in the table and not saying a word. They were quick and efficient but don't expect too much service. You order via the website (QR code on the tables). Like everyone else, the one small scoop (slightly bigger than a golf ball) limit on ice cream per person is sad.... At least you can still have the coconut milk sago dessert if you would like more sweet at the end of your meal. Parking is reasonably easy just on the side street."
"We tried the all you can eat with a group of 7 adults and 2 young kids. The restaurant ambience was great, certainly felt like it was a special night out instead of a normal dinner. Staff were friendly. Food was delicious and well presented. Just wish the 1 scoop limit for ice cream could be changed to 1 scoop of each flavour, similar to other places. Overall though we would be happy to return."
"Great food and experience. They had an open food area for miso soup, edamame and chicken wings!!!! You could grab as much as you wanted!. The sushi, sashimi and tempura was of excellent quality and standard. The staff worked quickly getting dishes to the table and clearing away empty plates/bowls. The atmosphere was also well done, lots of seating room and space for bigger bookings. Overall, I would rate this better than the other all you can eat Japanese eateries I've been too."
