"Fantastic! The food was delicious, a wonderful tour of local specialities with excellent presentation. Each course was well balanced, great textures and flavours. We particularly enjoyed the atmosphere, which was more informal than expected. Michelle came to the table to take our order herself . She has a really lovely character and made us felt at ease and respected. This is reflected in her staff as well, who are incredibly professional and clearly take pride in their work while remaining very personable. A fantastic experience, and highly recommended!"
"Fresh and delicious. Went just before lunch rush when all being made... Good timing. We prefer more 'traditional' style Sushi that isnt full of mayo and sauce (like many places have become) and Makoto is more of this traditional style. We go to Japan almost every year and have sushi train, sushi restaurant, stand up sushi... And while It is hard for other places outside Japan to replicate the culture and logistics chain that make Japanese Sushi what it is.... After eating at Makoto we all said it reminded us of Japanese Sushi"
"There used to be a massive line at this place, but now it seems pretty empty, and I can see why. The restaurant is clean and the staff were friendly. Getting to our table was quick. There must have been a massive price hike since I last came. Because for two people we spend around $110 which was a shock. It wasn't even filling as well. The food was average at best. Sushi Jiro is my go-to from now on. The price does not match the quality of food. Thanks, but no thanks."
"This is my first time to try sushi train. It was as I imagined and more. The experience itself of being attentive and keeping an eye in parade of food right in front of me is overwhelming… in a good way. So colourful, so pretty and looked oh so yummy! We ordered heaps but tho e best was the beef tataki! Good portions and quality food, yes we’ve all had it before but it is the experience I believe is what they are selling… and the food. Will defo come back…"
"If you've never been to a sushi train before, this is a great experience. The sushi was decent but not anything amazing. You can order it fresh from the ipad in front of you as well. It is a bit more pricey though then other sushi trains I've been to, but you won't be dissapointed in food quality and variety. You can ask for fresh wasabi instead of taking the packet wasabi on the sushi train. Anybody looking to come here should also consider the hot food, the takoyaki that came out piping hot was simply delectable and everything else looked delicious as well. Overall though, a great place to dine. The staff are absolutely lovely, polite and very accommodating."
