We have been fortunate enough to gain access to a legendary pizza maker's secret family recipe, and we have spent years perfecting Salvatore Leo's well-guarded pizza making techniques.

At Sal's, we are proud to say that all of our base ingredients are 100% authentic and imported directly from New York. You won't find these ingredients anywhere else in Australia. Our signature slow-risen dough is made using genuine New York Milled Hard Spring Wheat Flour, giving our pizzas that authentic New York base you can fold. The crust is crispy on the outside, yet light, tender, and airy on the inside.

To complement our perfect crust, we use a sweet tomato sauce made fresh daily using Sal's famous recipe. The sauce is made from vine-ripened California tomatoes, ensuring a burst of flavor with every bite. Our pizzas are topped with 100% premium Wisconsin Mozzarella, which is produced using the highest quality milk from sustainably farmed "happy cows." Wisconsin has been producing cheese since the 18th century, and we are proud to bring this tradition to Australia.

In addition to our classic pizza offerings, we have exclusive toppings that you won't find anywhere else. Our Famous New York Pepperoni and Italian Meatballs are made in-house and are exclusive to Sal's. We also offer Chicken Buffalo Wings made with the authentic "Original 1964 Buffalo" recipe, ensuring a taste of true New York flavor.

Salvatore Leo, the inspiration behind our restaurant, was born in 1941 in the small town of Corato in the Puglia region of southern Italy. At a young age, he was sent to live with relatives in New York to seek a better life. It was in Brooklyn, alongside his American cousins, that Sal discovered his talent for pizza making.
