About the Business
Welcome to Chester Hill Vet Hospital, located at 88 Waldron Road in Chester Hill, Australia. As a COVID-SAFE business, we prioritize the health and safety of our clients, visitors, staff, and the wider community. If you or a family member are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or are in self-isolation, we kindly ask that you do not visit the clinic at this time.
At Chester Hill Vet Hospital, we offer a wide range of services to cater to the needs of all animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and birds. Our experienced team is equipped to handle consultations, surgeries, emergencies, and diagnostic testing such as X-rays. We also provide essential preventive treatments such as vaccinations, microchips, heartworm injections, and desexing.
In addition to our medical services, we offer dentistry, boarding facilities for cats, and grooming services to keep your furry friends looking their best.
We understand that sometimes members of the public come across stray animals and wish to reunite them with their owners. If you find an uninjured stray animal, it is important that you take them to an animal holding facility as soon as possible. The Canterbury-Bankstown Animal Shelter is located at 651 Bringelly Rd, Rossmore 2171, and can be contacted at 0437 637 849.
We want to bring your attention to the deadly threat of Rabbit Calicivirus, especially the new strain known as RHDV2. There is currently no treatment for Rabbit Calicivirus, but prevention is crucial through up-to-date vaccinations. Some Sydney councils are releasing Rabbit Calicivirus to control feral rabbit populations. However, it is important to note that this new strain can cause death even in younger rabbits and those who have previously been vaccinated.
To protect your pet rabbits, we strongly recommend following the new vaccination protocol. Vaccinations should be administered without delays or gaps. Young rabbits require an initial course at 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks, or if they are 10 weeks or older, they should be vaccinated now and again in 2-4 weeks. All rabbits, including adults, should receive vaccinations every 6 months for life.
Please ensure that your pet rabbit is up-to-date with the Rabbit Calicivirus vaccination to provide them with the best protection against this deadly virus.
At Chester Hill Vet Hospital, we are committed to providing high-quality veterinary care and ensuring the well-being of your beloved pets. Contact us today to schedule an appointment or to learn more about our services.

"I wanted to go there as a local so I phoned them the receptionist was very very rude and very impatient about some basic questions and she spoke quite fast and i couldn't understand. "i don't know blah blah.." " just take your puppy in blah blah.." "ok, BYE" Maybe at least get someone nice and know how to be courteous as a receptionist. The vets could be good but I had a bad experience so I would not and will not go."
"I called the vet for a urgent checkup for my macaw and the person that picked up the phone was so disrespectful, I asked her to give me a rundown on what they do in the checkup and she told me I’ll call you back, so I waited and waited and I never received a call so I called them, the same lady picked up the phone and I asked the same question (can I get a rundown on what the vet does in the checkup?) and she replied yelling at me telling me that if I want to keep asking questions I can come down to the vet clinic and ask the vet himself in a loud and angry tone. I ask if you can speak to your receptionist and advise how to speak to there costumers properly!"
"The staff including reception, nurses and Vets are very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. They have been very supportive with any issues I’ve had with my Frenchie. Highly recommended."
"Most horrible service ever. They are a scam!!! SCAMMERSS. Money hungry scammers. This vet doesnt care about any animal welfare, they just see dollar signs and numbers. They made my pet even sicker and didnt help at all. 0/5 Would not reccommend to anyone at all."
"After been turned away from my local vet clinic, and sent to sash specialist animal hospital, sent away from RSPCA, and been unable to get any urgent medical care for my dog, whose eye was out! this vet helped me. I dont know what you all complaining about the prices, SASH quoted me over 8K for an eye removal, which I couldnt afford, so they sent me away, with my dog in pain. they charged $400 just to tell me she needed surgery, and it would cost me 8K. RPSCA was booked out, and when told it was an emergency, they didnt care! they said they were not an emergency hospital. It was only Chester Hill Vet who actually went out of her way to help me in this situation. not only she was compassionate, but she was understanding of my financial situation. I would recommend her any day, to anybody else. Thank you Chester Hill Veterinary clinic. Joana"
