"Does not taste good, quite a disappointment. I ordered the spicy teriyaki beef don but was given the regular teriyaki beef. The dish was then taken back and immediately returned with only 2 pieces of chopped chilli added and the sauce tasted odd… It did not taste good at all.. I struggled to eat it.. My husband ordered the double portion curry, which had a whole mount of white rice with few toppings. This dish tasted okay, not good but also not terrible."
"The food was good with the exception of the photos on the menu looking misleading. If you are not a fan of cream cheese, I suggest avoiding the items which callout cheese as that seemed to be their go to. The service was slow but felt sorry for the waitstaff as there was only 1 person on the floor."
"Great value for money authentic Japanese food one block from Ashfield station. The service is always excellent and the food never disappoints."
"We came on a Sunday night and they were very under-staffed. Dishes left on the tables from previous customers. It took a while for us to get the menus, and put in our order. Wait staff had given us the wrong flavoured ramune. Food took 15-20 mins at least. We got okonomiyaki, takoyaki and deep fried octopus to share. Its hard to distinguish the okonomiyaki and takoyaki in flavour. They both had the same batter just shaped in different forms. The fried octopus was a little bit overdone but still nice with the lemon. For mains, the spicy tan tan ramen had a nice creamy complex broth, would recommend. The staff were distracted because even when we specified no bean sprouts in the ramen, it was still placed on. We also go the ebiten udon set menu with gyoza. Simple brother and tempura made well. The katsu chicken bento was massive but I didn’t have a taste. We also ordered a mini ramen which for side dish came we would have preferred if everyone’s order arrived more or less the same time. I think all the patrons that night had a similar delayed service. Bathrooms need attention. The toilet flush buttons and the tap handle are broken in the ladies. Its the little things that matter and ruin the dining experience. Good food and value but front of house need a lot of work."
