At Moonfishh, we take pride in offering the finest takeaway sushi you've ever seen. Chef Haru Sonobe's inventive creations highlight the absolute best of responsibly sourced Australian and New Zealand seafood. We never compromise on freshness and quality, ensuring a full sensory sushi experience with every bite. Our sushi is hand-selected daily from the finest fish at the Melbourne Seafood Market and served in eco-conscious, biodegradable packaging.
But our offerings don't stop at takeaway sushi. If you're looking for a unique dining experience, we also offer in-home cook and serve experiences. Our talented chefs will come to your home, prepare a delicious meal, and even take care of the kitchen clean-up. Please note that drink service is currently unavailable for this option. With a total minimum spend starting from $1,500, you can choose from a buffet-style menu, a share-style course menu, or an individual degustation menu.
To give you a taste of what we offer, here are some sample menus. For $75, you can enjoy dishes such as Edamame, Sashimi platter, Sushi platter, Beef tataki with Onion ponzu, Tempura prawn Bao, Crispy Chicken Salad, Crab croquette, Chicken karaage, and Fried Prawn & Vegetable Gyoza. If you're looking for a more indulgent experience, our $120 menu includes Edamame, Sushi/Sashimi platter, Beef tataki with Onion ponzu, Quinoa Salad with Miso vinaigrette, Miso marinated Tooth Fish, Wagyu steak with Seasonal vegetable and Balsamic teriyaki sauce, and Prawn Dumping soup.
If you're looking to start your meal with some appetizers, we offer a variety of options such as freshly cooked Crayfish with Jalapeno sauce, Spicy Mayo, Wagyu tacos, Salmon caviar, Prawn tartar with Brioche, and Fresh Oysters. Our second course features Pan steamed fresh pipi with King prawn and Yuzu pepper sauce, followed by a third course of Miso marinated Tooth Fish with Grain Salad. Finally, indulge in our fourth course, which includes MB9 Wagyu steak with Seasonal vegetables.

"Pretty average. We ordered a massive assorted sushi/sashimi platter. For $20 extra they upgraded us to O-toro. Which turned out to be a huge mistake. The o-toro was chewy each piece made me nauseous due to all the leftover tendons in my mouth. So gross! Nigiri rice seasoning was pretty bland. And the amount of rice for each piece was excessive. Not a pleasant bite. Following the trend of mediocrity, rolls were generously moistened with mayo. Pretty shocked to see a new place have this level of quality."
