"I ordered a Chicken and Vegetables for take away. Once we had the order at home we opened the container and was struck by a very unpleasant seafood smell. Figuring it was maybe Oyster Sauce? my partner took a bite and smelt strong ammonia from rotting meat and instantly spat it out. My stomach is churning just writing this. The order took 15-20 minutes longer than quoted so I really do not know what happended but this is the last time I ever will visit this place."

"What a let down. We called in for an impromptu Saturday night dinner with our 13 and 2 year olds. Table cloths and chairs were filthy. Other tables that ordered after us got their meals first and we waited an hour for our mains…. I’d hate to see how the place performs when it’s actually busy as the restaurant was only half full. Really over priced - we could have eaten at the pub or a fancy restaurant for nearly the same price. After such average service they then had the nerve to charge us for takeaway containers at $1 a pop (we were over the need for dinner after waiting so long)… I hate to be a ‘Karen’ but I won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend. Luckily the food was ‘ok’ but that’s about all the place has going for it."

"Been coming here for about a year and always had good food although very expensive. Tody got a takeaway after not eating here in a couple months and it was absolutely ridiculous. The food was bland in general, sauces watery and the most disappointing thing was the size of the meals has been near enough cut in half!! All in it was disastrous, for 2 mains, 2 rice's and a soup paying $80 and getting half of wht you use to get is just not good. Won't be eating there again and if you are reading this I would avoid the disappointment."

"A 3.9 star Google reviews says it all! Although the chef is from Malaysia, his cooking style had no hints of an authentic “Malaysian Chinese chef”. Don’t get me wrong - it is not a Malaysian Chinese restaurant after all. The food is edible and acceptable by general western standards but a little let down by general “Chinese restaurant” standards. The fish dishes are cooked using fillet cuts and not using the whole fish (most authentic Chinese restaurants give the whole fish, unless otherwise stated) but what was featured on the menu is a picture of a fish dish (under the fish category), with the whole fish being served. A little confusing, but we checked this with the Caucasian owner, who clarified this & agreed that it was also misleading. I also observed from the menu, and I suspect that the various sauces are pre-prepared in advance and whatever choice of meat you select, it is fried with the sauce of your choice, just like how most Asian take-aways (non-dine-in) do. Surely and hopefully, you wouldn’t expect this from a “restaurant”, as the prices charged are not “take-away” prices. However, the service was good and the front-of-house staffs were attentive. The decor looked quite authentic for a Chinese restaurant. Personally, my food expectations does not match with the detail of decor the restaurant had. A 3 star rating is a fair rating for the food quality but I will give a 5 star for the decor and an almost 5 star for the service."
