"Where to START... I booked 2 x rooms, for 4 x Adults. I paid for it with a Non-Refundable notification, then 24 hours later an email to say they are now renovating the Gym so no access plus other areas are affected by Paint Smells on certain floors etc. On arrival, only 1 of the rooms was correct, we tried to explain it with the staff at the front desk however they eventually moved us to another room that wasn't any better - it was already in use and the guests were less then impressed with us walking into their room! I went back downstairs again a 3rd time and then they gave us the room next door to the room that we were allocated earlier only to find that anyone could enter our room as the key and lock were not operable. The door never locked leaving us waiting overnight until morning to sort out yet another room! The bathroom floor was covered in what felt like sand or dirt and we went to pour a drink but had a lipstick mark on a usee glass. We were offered a complimentary breakfast the following morning but the staff were not very friendly when I had to say my partner had to remain in our room due to the door not locking so could I please take a plate of breakfast to her. The response it's not possible to which I explained again why... Then I was given a response of it's not our policy. Eventually after pleading and debating back and fourth I eventually was given a cardboard box to place food into - no plates were allowed to leave the restaurant. Never before heard anything like this! We waited hours and hours the following morning with the excuse given over and over that they were working on our room change.... After 2pm, FINALLY we were moved AGAIN to another room but this room although nice has no working air-conditioning... At this point we honestly just shook our heads and have had maintenance come and go trying to fix it each day since we arrived with one maintenance man saying to us, we shouldn't need air-conditioning on when it's winter and it's cold weather. Obviously by this stage my partner had said enough was enough and having the air-conditioning on or off is our business not his. We're now moving AGAIN to another room! The rooms for what you pay which isn't cheap over $3836 AUD for 12 days, definitely need housekeeping and staff to pay more attention. The rooms still aren't cleaned at 3:30pm in the afternoon having called the front desk many times about it. Not once have our carpets or floors been cleaned. Mostly the housekeeping walk in make a bed, take out rubbish and replace towels. No milk etc replenished... that all seems like to much trouble for them. The only good thing we can say is location. Everywhere is closeby, walking anywhere can take approximately 20 minutes for Chinese Friendship Gardens, Chinatown, Shopping etc We try to now not be at the hotel as little as possible. I'd suggest a serious overhaul about how this hotel is operated."
"OK...we booked 3 rooms months ago for 9 people. We had requested 11am check in. Upon arrival we were met with a terrible smoke filled entrance from patron's smoking directly out the front door. I was told that all though we had requested early check in that there were no rooms available but we could leave our bags and they would call us. There was no call and we came back at around 5pm to find they still had not prepared keys etc. The rooms were not properly cleaned with the bathroom being filthy and one bed covering having a blood stain. The A/C was not working at all and numerous requests to fix it were ignored with me simply giving up after the the manager made an ill informed attempt at changing the the A/C filter saying it will work now. It didnt and we were stuck with a stuffy hot room with no air and no window to open. We have stayed in many hotels including IBIS, Accor etc and this was by far the most dissapointing. Im sure there will be excuses used to try and justify the poor running of this hotel but if you cant do your job in the hospitality industry find another job. I will be posting this review on my social media and contacting the head office."
"Rooms could have been better, carpets are old, small windows. Service is ok staff is helpful. Breakfast is good. Location is walkable distance from public transport."
"For a three star hotel I was pretty impressed with the quality of it. The only thing was the room was a bit small but overall had everything it needed. The curtains were a little gross which brought down the rating a bit and brekkie at the hotel was a little boring not many options. The hot chocolate was really good though. Check in was pretty small as we had a large group and many people were staying at the same time. Overall, pretty impressed!"
"Good hotel for high school groups. Breakfast was good some days, but not others. The elevators are not all working. This leaves lines of people in the lobby waiting to go up."
