Our 24/7 specialist hospital, known as the Animal Treatment Centre (ATC), is a state-of-the-art facility designed specifically for the needs of our furry patients. Equipped with the latest technology, including a cutting-edge MRI scanner, the newest CT scanner, low-radiation fluoroscopy units, ultrasound, digital x-rays, and more, our hospital ensures that your pets receive the highest standard of care.
Whether you need to make an appointment with one of our lovely and caring specialists or require emergency assistance, our leading team of veterinarians is always available to look after your pet in its time of need. We understand that your furry companions are an integral part of your family, and we treat them with the same level of compassion and expertise that we would want for our own pets.
In addition to our specialist hospital, we also provide services to your local veterinary clinic, allowing you to access specialized care at your trusted neighborhood vet. Our range of services includes surgery, medicine, and ultrasonography. Common surgeries we perform include TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy), fracture repair, patella luxation correction, and tumor removals. Ultrasound is used to investigate problems of the abdomen and chest, offering a convenient and cost-effective option for diagnostic procedures.
We are proud to serve not only Sydney but also other areas such as the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Southern Highlands, and South Coast. Our mobile service allows us to bring our expertise to your local vet practice, ensuring that your pet receives the necessary treatment without the hassle of traveling long distances.
At VSOS, we understand the emotional toll of having a sick or injured pet. That's why we prioritize empathy and compassion in our approach to veterinary care. We have received numerous testimonials from satisfied pet owners who have experienced our team's incredible empathy during difficult times. Whether it's supporting Jimmy Barnes on his hardest day or providing hope to Jason when he was told his Labrador Zorro's hip dysplasia was inoperable, we are here to support you and your pets every step of the way.
To help you navigate through the process, we have provided a guide on what to expect when your pet requires surgery. Additionally, our FAQ section addresses common questions about diagnostics, aftercare, billing, procedures, and more. In case of emergencies, we offer guidance on how to handle situations such as trauma, choking, seizures, heatstroke, or accidents, ensuring that you can provide immediate help to your pet while seeking professional assistance.
Lastly, we would like to acknowledge the Dharawal people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate. We pay our respects to the Elders and their families, past, present, and emerging, as well as to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

"The vet specialists and veterinary nurses provided an excellent service. I had to travel over an hour to get to Sydney because no vet in my region could perform the procedue. The staff were very compassionate and were able to do the procedue the very next day. My little furbaby was very well taken care of before and after her procedure. I can't thank everyone enough for the service they provided during one of the most stressful times of my life. And I'm sure Buffy would thank everyone too if she could speak!"
"Took outstanding care of our baby daisy, who had a successful spinal surgery and is recovering really well with an additional thanks to their rehab team. Could tell she was getting plenty of affection and care from the nurses and vets while she was in ICU. The hospital itself is super modern and nicer than any human hospital I’ve ever been in! They even let her big sister come visit!"
"5 stars for all the staff involved in our operation... the people who met us in reception, the vet nurses, vets and professors. My boy is 6 months post TPLO and I couldn't be happier. The 2 stars removed is for the Physio afterwards which cost me money and provided no value. They didn't listen, understand and made assumptions. A waste of money. I highly recommend the service for surgical but don't worry about the Physio. You'll get a fancy light (plus some funny photos as they put the glasses on) and not much else."
"I rushed my precious boy in 4 sudden onset of symptoms at night . I then had to rush him back in again the following evening. 2 my complete shock he had to be put 2 sleep. The staff, and I mean all the staff, were so kind, compassionate & supportive. Outstanding facility. I am so grateful when my boy (who was only a few mths shy of 14yrs), had 2 go, it was undertaken at VSOS."
