"DO NOT SEND THIS HOTEL ANY CARD DETAILS. PAY VIA CASH. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT GIVE IT BACK. After questioning about random charges on my card from this hotel, I was told that the $100 they took is because i checked in at 5pm after organizing late check in 3 weeks before our stay. This hotel has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. We booked this hotel 4 weeks ahead of the date of our stay. After making the booking I realised straight away I had booked the wrong room type. I called the hotel right away about 9 times. After not getting through I sent an email. I waited a week and still no response. I called back a week later and was told the reception hours are 11am to 4pm??? What business such as a hotel which provides a 24/7 service is only open for such a short time?? After finally getting through it took 2 more weeks of back and forth constant phone calls to finally be told we could change the room. Apparently the girl on the reception had to ask her manager who doesn't like to be woken up before 1pm??? Anyway we finally arrived at the POSH HOTEL and let me tell you it is anything but. One bed had a pigeon feather underneath the doona. The bed had clearly already been slept in and not changed and for a TWO person room we were only given ONE towel. Unfortunately we had to ask for a late check in option (due to the stupid reception hours) and couldn't ask for another towel at 5pm when we checked in because noone was available. On top of this the room was an absolute disgrace. This place has a terrible cockroach problem. The toilet in our room had already been used and trash still in the bin from the previous occupant. I have stayed in shared room hostels that were much cleaner and actually had staff available. The photos of this property are nothing like real life. Its dark and dingy. The beds are from the 70's. If you are considering this hotel to stay at my advice for you is RUN FOR THE HILLS. This place is not posh. Its trash."
"This was more like a hostel and hotel. We booked it as we were stranded for the night as our flight was cancelled. The description said it was close to the airport but in fact it was right in the city center. The reception area was dingy and did not make a great first impression. We were also asked for a $200 deposit for the room which was very unexpected. To be honest I don’t know why it was so much as the room clearly was not worth that amount. The room was big, basic and not the cleanest. There was one towel even though there was 3 of us and there was no cover for the duvet for the single bed and it was filthy. The remote was missing and I rang reception who was no help at all. If you wanted a central location with basic living then this would do otherwise steer clear."
"We booked a executive double room for 3 nights. Unfortunately a read all comments after our booking. I was really unhappy and hoped so much that we don't have to book a new hotel because everything was already paid. Our check in was OK. The front lady wasn't really happy if I said i want to see the room before I pay the deposit. The room looked OK so we checked in. I already had all the bad reviews in my mind so we were prepared. Our room was dirty, the desk was broken and unstable, the floor was so disgusting and the bed mattress was full of hairs. The TV was broken and the pillows were yellow. So we made a plan how we can made the room comfortable for us. We bought cleaning stuff, toilet paper, 4 pillow covers by target and then we cleaned the room. After 2 hours we felt better. Everyday we put the "do not disturb" sign on our door so i'm pretty sure we had the cleanes room in this hotel. Please don't book this hotel. I hope for the owner he will find another cleaning staff and maybe he will think about his business and the 200AUD deposit are ridiculous because everything is already old and overused."
"Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I originally booked for three nights. I checked out after the first night. Noisy room (even though I had a deluxe King room with ensuite bathroom), no kettle available in room or in the outside shared kitchen. Even when I mentioned this to front reception they promised to bring one to the kitchen but didn't. No proper cutlery or plates or cups. Then to top it off there was water pouring out of the light fitting outside my room (electricity and water a bad combination). When I reported it I was told that the manager was looking into it. An hour later there was a huge pile of water on the floor (very slippery with no warning signs!). I decided that enough was enough and decided to check out. They refused to give me a refund for the unused two nights which I prepaid then a manager there abused me on the phone when I asked to get a refund. I have travelled all over the world and have stayed at hotels from Paris to Beijing and have never experienced such an awful hotel. And not cheap. Most backpacker hostels are better than this!!!"
