"The food at this local restaurant is consistently fresh and very tasty so we tend to return. Unfortunately the service has been lacking over the last few years. The staff used to greet you when you arrived and thankyou loudly in Japanese as you left. Now no-one notices when you arrive, they don't seat you or give you a menu. Trying to get attention once seated is impossible. It seems there is no clear system on table service as there are plenty of busy staff. If they are able to fix the customer service, the restaurant will again be one of our favourites"

"Visited this establishment as I was staying close by. Feels empty and run down as the only service that evening was take away or eat in but without service. So tables were stacked away , floor looked dirty, place seemed run down. Ordered food- a bento box and some other sushi - the miso soup arrived well before the rest. Food was edible but certainly not worth the price $31 for a small bento. Having eaten around the north shores in many restaurants this one is not on my 'return' list."
