At Rosebud Foreshore Camping, we offer a range of facilities and services to ensure your stay with us is comfortable and enjoyable. Whether you are a nature enthusiast, an adventure seeker, or simply looking for a peaceful getaway, our campground has something for everyone.
Managed by the Shire, our campground is situated along the natural foreshore reserves with beach access in Rosebud, Rye, and Sorrento. These locations provide the perfect backdrop for a wide range of recreational activities, from swimming and sunbathing to fishing and beach walks.
As the largest of our three camping reserves, Rosebud's foreshore camp sites stretch 10km along the sparkling water of Port Phillip Bay on the Mornington Peninsula. With stunning views and a serene atmosphere, this is the ideal spot to relax and unwind.
If you prefer a prime beachfront position, our Rye foreshore camping reserve is the place to be. With 2km of white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, you can enjoy the ultimate beach experience while staying at one of our 174 camp sites.
For those seeking a convenient location near the town of Sorrento, our Sorrento foreshore campgrounds are the perfect choice. Located next to the Sorrento Yacht Club and only 800m from the town, these campgrounds offer approximately 150 sites for you to choose from.

"Fantastic location for caravanning and tent camping! The camping sites is located on the foreshore reserve between the main road and the beach, which is a lil bit noisy for anyone who enjoyed quite and peaceful day tbh this is not for you. Anyway, great place to unwind and spend time with family and friends. We are staying at section 9 which is very convenient as the cafes is just across the road. Also clean toilet and shower access with codes and only for campers. And there’s a lot of activities for you to enjoy including swimming or you can simply relax, read and catch up on some sleep and dine out at the many restaurants and cafes on offer."
"Booked a campground both here and in Sorrento but was unable to make it due to unforeseen injury. Rang them to organise a refund or credit and the lady said it needed to be in writing so I sent an email, like they requested. They responded saying that a refund or transfer or booking could not be issued (despite my bookings not during peak periods). It is unfortunate that they cannot accommodate to accidents such as these."
