"We purchased a 12 month voucher directly from Hilltonia in Oct 2017 for our parents which was used March 2017. Prior to purchasing online, we rang the homestead to confirm details, in which we were confident that we were sending our parents to a luxury homestead as the website boasts. The feedback we received was although appreciated and nice, they would not recommend to their friends. It seemed as if the homestead had just been taken over recently (since the voucher was purchased) and when they arrived, the homestead although tidy, looked run down and unclean. There were a mother and daughter running the premises, the mother not speaking english, and although not a problem, the daughter who spoke english was unable to answer a lot of questions. The room is advertised with tea and coffee / kitchenette type amenities, however there were no plates, cups or cutlery. Our parents needed to ask for quite a few basics over the course of their stay. Overall, they appreciated and made the most of their stay, however, it was certainly not what was expected or advertised on their webiste."

"Well priced, provided a big breakfast, and upgraded us to a cottage (over a room) for free simply because there was one available. Helpful and friendly staff, definitely would recommend"
