Reviews
"I originally posted my review at the time of my visit but for some reason not all my reviews were visible on maps, as the issues with my account have been resolved I am reposting the missing reviews. Ballyshannon Leisure Centre - Ballyshannon - Wednesday 7th December 2022 - 09:30 Car park is an adequate size of about 15-25 spaces and operates a one way system and there are signs advising that the centre does not take responsibility for any damage to your vehicle. Entrance is on street level and doors are automatic but they don’t always work how they should. The changing rooms are to the left and right of the reception desk and there are some small secure lockers in reception where you can store valuables; you put in a Euro to open and it’s returned when you unlock the locker. On the day I looked around there was a school group present so we weren’t allowed to view the changing rooms, it’s a child protection thing but the receptionist did show us what facilities that would be available during the times/ days the changing rooms are out of bounds. I attend in my gym gear and after my workout go home and shower/change, so it’s not an issue for me. There is a sauna and a swimming pool but as I haven’t used them I cannot comment on them. I have used the gym which is on the ground floor through two manual doors to the right of reception. There is a log book that they like members to sign in/ out when using the gym. The gym has an area for the weight machines and another for treadmills, crosstrainers, bicycles and rowing machines. I’ve only been here a few times and the gym area has never been that busy. The gym meets my needs and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall a nice experience."
"Good pool for swimming."
"This is the only leisure centre in town. I'm thankful that this facilities still open because my little girl is regularly coming here every week for her swimming lesson. The staff are nice and friendly. The swimming teachers did a great job in teaching the kids. They are awesome people that deserves my compliment. But this place needs some TLC because the toilets, walls, floors, etc. are looking ugly. And also parking space is very small. Apart from that I still love this place because the location is very convenient. And before I forget this place plays an important role in the local community because the Irish Water Safety held their training here regularly."
"Pool isn’t great. Can’t get into it with all the swimming lessons! Gym is ok, but the worst thing is the opening times. Opening at 8am and closing at 7.50 most nights. Joke! Sure for people that work till 6 with kids.. this is pointless."
"The gym was ok the pool was bad it was so dirty the changen room was fillthy the staff were unfriendly and hate kids. The pool would be a great pool if thay tided it and actully looked after it.I recommend to not go there"
