Reviews of Davitt College
"It's an OK school, some positives are : SOME teachers are kind, professional and do care about the students and try their best to help them. The school offers supplies for subjects such as art and home ec for For free and have a wide variety of subjects, and that's about it. Now let's go onto the negatives, shall we? First of all the boys toilets almost never have refilled soap and tissues, there are no mirrors and the locks are broken. Even though the school was donated 8.2 million they still will not get blinds for some of the classrooms that need them, they also never have the radiators on in the cold winter but when it's hot summer the decided to turn them on like what is that thinking? let's talk about the lunch, they charge €3.00 for a chicken goujion roll that's the same size as a hotdog bun and you only get one or if your lucky mabye 1 and a half pieces of chicken. when I first came to this school I was so exited to have a proper chance to learn art (as I wanted to be an artist) that was all taken from me when I met my new art teacher. She is unprofessional, biased and outdated. In her class I have learned to draw leaves and make a pot. I have learnt more from a book on how to draw then her. She is constantly late and obviously has favourites. Her ways of teaching is outdated. one of the girls apparently had their skirt up to high and one of the teachers made a very inappropriate comment, YOU ARE A TEACHER! YOU SHOULDN'T MAKE INAPPROPRIATE COMMENTS ABOUT GIRLS SKIRTS.. And let's not even get started on how the school handles bullying. I could talk about more but I think this is enough to get the point. In conclusion: hate the school but a few teachers are amazing. The cons just outweigh the pros. Thank you for reading"
"Never went to a bigger kip joke the principles are verry unprofessional and petty and will hold anything and everything against you if you are ever called in I would always bring in a third party so they can help you when the principles jump at you with bold statements and lies"
"It's been wild also good OIL RIG"
"Thanks Piers Good food also was a good venue for my stag night."
"My two boys go to this school and I find the teachers very helpful and professional"
