"Several weeks ago, I left my laptop in the Phonebooth Tuam store, with the exception of a broken hinge, it was fully operational. During the collection process, the staff inspected the laptop and completed the necessary documentation. After several weeks had passed, I received a text message informing me that the hinge had been repaired at a cost of €150.00, which I agreed to pay. However, on the day of collection, I discovered to my surprise that the laptop would not turn on, and that the previously replaced hinge had broken again upon my initial attempt to open the lid. When I reported this issue, I was informed that I could retrieve the laptop free of charge, as it had not been repaired at all. This situation was not only concerning because of the lack of repair, but also because the laptop was now entirely inoperable. The laptop remains in the store, and communication with the staff has been challenging. They have denied having worked on my laptop, despite the documentation previously completed during the collection process. Regrettably, I cannot recommend leaving any laptop or device in this store, as it is possible that it may incur damage or even become lost. In closing, I would like to note that I am willing to remove or revise this review only if the situation is remedied to my satisfaction. Respectfully, A Displeased Customer ... in reply It is my belief that I inadvertently left my laptop at the Phonebooth Tuam store, as I did not observe any indication of Reboot IT at the location. The individuals who retrieved and inspected my laptop during the collection process were unequivocally employees of Phonebooth. Given this situation, it may be prudent to reevaluate current policies and procedures to prevent any future instances of customers being left without their devices."
