Benbulben Farmhouse B&B

"I'm writing this review whilst staying here. I always have good intentions to review when I arrive home but it never happens. Feedback as follow. 1) Warm welcome 2) Amazing views of the sea, fields and cute baby lambs. 3) Building is of a high standard, extremely well maintained, clean, fresh and modern. 4) Beautiful location at the foot of a mountain but only 15 mins by car to the town. 5) Large bedroom exuding quality. Large picture windows to capture the views, comfortable mattress (not too soft fortunately for me because I have a bad back and need support but still heavenly enough to not want to get out of it). Crisp luxury bed covers and pillows with bright white fluffy towels together with all the room items one would expect. Perfect temperature in room, no extremes. 6) Bright modern high spec en-suite with walk in power shower. Spotless and very well maintained. 7) Scrumptious breakfast using quality ingredients and presented well. Homemade scones are delicious. I will most definitely return to this high-quality bed and breakfast. Welcoming hosts, friendly, professional and informative. Elaine Barnes"

"We love this place, our host Marita was incredible. We definitely recommend this place, the view was breathtaking, the place location is pure magic! The breakfast was super delicious as well and we had and incredible perfect time there! Parking and internet available and is not far from Sligo Town -lovely town-."

"Wonderful stay - cannot recommend highly enough. We spent 5 days in Sligo staying at Benbulben Farmhouse, and everything was great: from the spotlessly clean and comfortable room to the exceptional breakfast with home-made bread and scones, plus a full cooked menu. Everything done exactly how you like it. The house itself is comfortable and warm with a spacious sitting room, plenty of outside seating too, for when the weather is warm. Marita and Ian are fantastic hosts, full of helpful information, and as they are local people, lots of tips that you won't find in any guidebook. The location is also exceptional - right on the lower slopes of Benbulben itself, on a quiet country road. We didn't want to leave, and can't wait to stay there again."

They are very helpful and accommodating of dietary needs and doing anything to make your stay comfortable. The views from every window are amazing! Where else can you stay at the base of spectacular Benbulben! I highly recommend!"

"We did the wild Atlantic drive and out of all of the places we stayed, this was by far the best! The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating, the breakfast was delicious and filling, and the entire building is such good quality and VERY clean (we’re picky too). We’ve stayed in other b&bs where you can hear people walking or talking, but this one is completely sound proof and very comfortable. Overall a beautiful property, in a great location, with kind people to greet you. Thank you!"
