Atlantic Lodge

"We stayed here on our mini staycation in Galway. The lodge is beautiful with all the amenities but there was a problem with bedding and door locks. I was scared to sleep as I couldn't lock the door. I slept late and woke up early lol. We checked in late night so we basically couldn't contact anyone. However, I think these issues should be fixed before assigning rooms to anyone. The view and the location is absolutely beautiful. However, it would have been nicer if I had the sense of security spending a night in there. All and all, it was okay."

"The entire design, exterior and interior, is consistent and quaint. The rooms are immaculate and I really enjoyed staying in mine. Lovely location too, just out of Salthill. And you seriously couldn't find a better host!! Must also mention that the breakfast boxes that are offered now because of covid, are faultless, with delicious, freshly baked pastries!! And well stocked coffee and tea in room too."

"Great view. On the ocean! Big and comparable rooms. The rooms are fully equipped by all you need and so is breakfast! The staff that runs the hotel: the lady in the kitchen and the lady who manages are superb!! Only Cons is the distance from city center wich makes you must use transportation."

"Never pay this lady cash! This turned out to be utterly weird: I paid cash upon arrival and asked for a receipt. She took my cash and said she would get the receipt in a moment. But she did not return that day. Next day at breakfast I asked again. No problem, she would take care of it. Not. I asked several times during the next days and started to worry as this was becoming really akward. At our last day at Atlantic Lodge I insisted she would give me a receipt, she said she would take care of it right away. This time I decided to wait outside her room and after at least an hour of waiting my girlfriend could take it no more and entered her room. She was doing her email...! How incredibly rude. I entered her room and she finally typed out a receipt albeit with no signature. This very strange behaviour spoiled our stay at an otherwise very nice location."

"Very nice lodge. The room I stayed in was great and the shower was superb. Unfortunately I didn't stay for breakfast, so I can't comment on that but the host was very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend."
